We have to get summer clothes when they’re in the store! 40’s and a whooping wind out of the northwest. I was hoping to do some digging today, but it maybe be too cold.

It’s supposed to be 96 today, with wind. *sigh*
Sion gets the storms, we get the wind associated with the front... :o|

Good Morning!

Supposed to be cooling down from our mini heat wave...maybe only in the 80s out in the cow patties.

That should make everything smell better! We have 50’s now. Maybe I’ll dig later, or go deliver literature for the County Commissioner candidate.

Morning!

After the 12/2006 windstorm, I'm not that enamored of wind. Rain to showers in today's forecast.

Well, yes. We get them in the kitchen. I’m leaning toward digging this afternoon.

91 here, wind NW at 6..6%.

I’ve been out in it for two hours, and still had my jacket on...*sigh*

A fancy flyswatter? What’s wrong with fly paper?

We have an electric tennis-racquet thingie that fries the flies. It’s especially fun with fruit flies. When they come after your wine ... ZOT! Nothing but smoke ...

I spread the rest of my mulch. I can probably use a couple more bags, but I can wait until some of the plants are settled in better, and the seeds have come up. I’m not sure what all has been planted right now.

Then I dug up the grass from a 6-foot section of fence, about two feet out. I filled the hole with dirt, lined it with rocks (to protect it from the mower), and planted sunflowers. I put in too many seeds for the spot, but I can transplant them when they’re big enough. It was pretty easy digging after all this rain.

Then I collected all the rocks I could find from the weekend’s projects and took them over to the mud puddle at the beginning of the trail to the playground.

WOW! I had no idea you were a ZOTter! I am in awe! LOL!

It sounds like you’re going to have a nice garden...flowers, rocks, sunflowers, mud...all the important stuff is there! LOL!

I think the last time I put any work into a place was when we lived in VA. Of course, I was almost a kid, then... :o])

James and Pat helped with stirring the mud in the big new spot we dug on Saturday. It looks like the brick pits from “The Ten Commandments” now! A couple more days with the sun and wind like today (especially if it gets warmer!), and then we’ll be able to move around a little more easily.

We need to decide what kind of pavement we want around the cement patio/herb garden/pergola area. We don’t need to get it all in place at one time, but we have to choose something so we can get it around the mud pit in the next couple of weeks.

Hi. Almost bedtime here. I have to be at the early-voting poll tomorrow for a couple of hours, go to the Girl Scout store, teach a Sunday School class, and hold a Spanish choir practice.

Sounds like a busy day.

I simply have to go to work, work, leave work to go home, and move the Undead Thread to a new home. *\;-)

"Teach a Sunday School class on Wednesday????"

I doubt Wednesday would cooperate, unless it's a class about the Ancient Egyptian worship of cats.

Would that be a CAT-e-chism class?

I thought Spanish choir practice was on Thursdays?

I didn't know you could buy girl scouts at a store.

"1976 was a very good yeat for fire plugs."

I've never studied Yeats much.

William Butler Yeats. b. 1865

862. Where My Books go

ALL the words that I utter,
And all the words that I write,
Must spread out their wings untiring,
And never rest in their flight,
Till they come where your sad, sad heart is,
And sing to you in the night,
Beyond where the waters are moving,
Storm-darken'd or starry bright.
