I sister had a map on the wall so their kids could see where their dad was. He would go anywhere in the world that US had a foreign base with a medical unit. Green was where is he now and red was where he has been.

Heh. For me a map like that would start looking like a pincushion. I just got a (likely) trip to Pittsburgh added to my spring travel calendar, joining California week after next, Berlin early June and Salt Lake City late June. (And nothing after that until September.)
I may be making my way up through the "elite" rankings slowly, with my budget fares often enough earning only 50% of the miles actually traveled, but it looks like it's first-class upgrades all the way home tomorrow.
I hope it's so... there'll be enough room to open up and work on the laptop. Can't do that in coach.

All that travel, oy. At least you’re adding up the frequent flyer miles.

Well, there is that. Though I have to say that right now I'm not enamored of getting on a plane for a vacation -- though we are looking at vacations where I have to get on a plane anyway, and we can buy LoM's tickets with my miles.
How are things?

Fine, thanks. Been talking to a family friend who has a place in the San Diego area. It might be a nice getaway from here, but I don’t know if I really want to go to Cali right now.

Good morning, everyone! Looks like it’s going to be another nice yardwork day, although I have some errands to do this morning, first. Bill is redoing the lizard habitat, and the anoles are sitting by the keyboard in a tupperware dish looking deeply offended.

Morning. No matter what I do, I can't seem to sleep in.
Of course, having an East-facing hotel room doesn't help...
Weird. Looked up the forecast for home: Current 36F, High 62F, Low 49F. That doesn't look like a forecast one could trust.

She feels much better now. It’s supposed to rain this afternoon, but they keep saying that, and it doesn’t.

Ah. They're predicting thunderstorms here, for all it's BRIGHT and sunny now. Hopefully I'll be out of here before that begins.
Need to go get ready for the day and pack...

They’re predicting temps in the triple digits this weekend...
Don’t think I’ll be able to stay out of that.
I have a luncheon this afternoon with a bunch of Submarine vets.

Triple digits! Even if it's dry that's difficult for me.
Bet it gets a bit cooler under the water in the sub... *\;-)

Not where I worked....it was always 90+ down in the pit. The bonus was that since I made the water for the boat, I got to take as long a shower as I wanted.

Well, time to go. Boarding isn't for another 4 hours but it's time to check out.
I may get back this evening PDT...

Morning/afternoon, all.
We’re supposed to have sunny skies today, but it’s still pretty hazy. We still have a few days of winter to use up before summer is here officially!
I’m pinin’ for some unobstructed SUNSHINE!

We have some right now, but it looks like more clouds moving in from the north. Tom was working on clearing the ground for a new flowerbed, but he wore out. “This is too heavy!” I’ll work on it later, maybe; I need to get the salad for supper ready first.
