Morning. Ugh -- late nights and early mornings, been in the office almost 2 hours already.
Went & got my weekly cup of coffee.
How're you today?

Haven’t had my coffee, yet. My stomach isn’t quite ready for that. Some days, I just can’t tolerate anything.
I don’t feel too bad today, but I have to be careful, as I have a tendency to overdo it when I feel “good.” Bad habit of people with CFIDS.
I didn’t really want to get up, but I did....now all I can think about is getting through the day so I can go to bed. (I have no life.)

I’m in about the same boat. Nothing urgent on my to-do list, which is very unusual. Right now I’m just downloading presentations from a conference I attended three weeks ago — but the speakers have not been very good at delivering copies, there are a number I want but which aren’t up yet.

I’ve been trying to gather up stuff for my son to set up housekeeping. He’s soon-to-be divorced, and was approved for a home loan, so he’s going to need a lot of stuff. I just gathered up some plastic and metal kitchen stuff for him. No pans, though....none I want to part with, at least!
He’ll find a lot of stuff at yard sales, but I wanted to help a little.

Yep. Not even two years of wedded blisters.
She is crabby and demanding and does NOT like his son, and he has such a sunny, optiomistic disposition that it’s just killing him.
Plus his son is ADHD, and he thinks she doesn’t like him because of something he’s done. So Gramma’s gonna fill in the gaps!

LOL! (His words!)
I feel for him, but I realized a long time ago that he had to pay the consequences for all his decisions, good, bad or indifferent (just like the rest of us) and that I can’t do it for him.
He’s so optimistic it breaks my heart. He got approved for a home loan and has the house picked out; it’s on about an acre of land, and had 3-bedrooms, with a “country kitchen.”
He’ll be fine. He knows how to cook, mend, iron, clean ~~ he and his son will be OK, for sure.

42 now. Supposed to hit 53. This, after getting ANOTHER 8" of snow dumped on us.
I think I'm going to head outside and annoy my neighbors. I have an ANCIENT Homelite C-71 chainsaw with the muffler/spark arrestor missing off it that I need to get running again. Nothing like a 2-stroke motor with no sound suppression to wake up a sleepy neighborhood.
I'll be tilling the garden and running a wood chipper a bunch this weekend.

Everyone I’ve heard from in the “upper tier of states” has been dumped on repeatedly for the last six months.
I think I’d have to be slow about repairs to a machine that made such a lovely noise...just make sure your own ears are protected!
How is the house coming along?

Light rain to possible thunderstorms here.
Another trip approved this morning. Short one to Napa Valley area. One to three days, to speak for maybe 20 minutes.

House is going great. It's livable, clean, and functional at this point. Still have trim, doors, exterior paint, and some upgrades to do. Still got a long way to go.
Gonna need a new float and a set of jets for the chainsaw though. May as well replace the muffler too. It acts as a spark arrestor so all the nice wood chips you create don't catch fire.

Yah. I remember when we’d bring home stuff like Belgian ales in carry-ons. No more. *\:-(

It’s good to know you’re making progress on the house. You’ll have to take some piccies, soon, so we can see the changes!
AND piccies of the kids!

I used to see folks carry all kinds of stuff on board from the Duty-Free shops, but I guess those days are gone for good. More’s the pity.
