Howya! 60’s and scattered thunderstorms here. We got to the Herpetology show at Davidson College just as it opened at 10:00 a.m., and we were finished seeing all the cool critters just as the scattered thunderstorm hit at 11:10 :-).

A man with a bunch of corn snakes told me that our Susan is probably 10-12 years old, and she could live another 10 years.

Anoreth and Bill didn’t go; they’d arranged a bowling trip with her “boyfriend,” Andrew. She called about 1:00 to say they’d arrived safely at the bowling alley.

It’s quiet but windy here, today. Supposed to get up to 80 or so. And I’m inside with a heater by my legs...

Ah, there’s a little sunshine! Maybe this will blow off by tomorrow, so Bill can mow the lawn. We had a storm last night; thunder woke me up, and I hopped up to close the windows!

Knowing the kids enjoy something makes it all worthwhile. I always got a kick out of my kids when they were excited by something.

Rain wouldn’t be bad, but we always have some nasty wind with it. (I hate the wind. Or did I mention that?)

Actually, I hate the rain, too, but when it rains here, we usually get all 3” for the year at once. Of course, this year, we’ve already had more than that, and with the snow pack in the mountains, the Colorado River will bring a lot more water to Lake Mead, and hopefully get rid of the “bath tub ring.”

That would be nice, for sure!

I like the dry climate. So does my heart!

Oh, how funny! What a wonderful picture of Rush, whoever posted it! (One of the Robinsons, I suspect :-).

We crossed a section of Lake Norman on the way back from Davidson, and it’s up several feet since we were there for our vacation last September. The lower water level was better for the children, though. Vlad could walk out about 10 feet from the bank and only be up to his waist.
