What say you to the fact that some delegates within the Democrat Party system - superdelegates - are more equal than others?
The GOP has them, too. They just call them by a different name: ‘uncommitted delegates’
CNN election website does list the GOP’s as Superdelegates.
Superdelegates are simply a manifestation of modern democrat philosophy.
1. Concentration of power. Under the democrat delegate system, the 800 superdelegates have 1/4 the voting power of 25 million democrat citizens. Roughly, each superdelegate has 7000 times the voting power of a common working man. Likewise, the democrats would like an all-powerful centralized government to give you health care, raise your kids, tell you what you can eat and drive, etc.
2. Racial hypocracy. As a republican, a person is evaluated by his/her character. As a democrat, a person is grouped by their outward appearance. Democrats will push diversity for diversity’s sake (a form of racism, in my opinion). Look at their candidates: virtually no experience, way left of mainstream America, and unable to function normally without an entire team of handlers. But, they are fully qualified under democrat ideals because they are partially black or own a vagina. The real kicker is this: the majority of superdelegates are white middle aged males. Yes, the party is still controlled by the very category of people that they loathe.
3. Justified abuse of power. Yes, Bill Clinton can obstruct justice and get away with it. Yes, Eliot Spitzer can use the power of his office to make illegal campaign contributions legal and to eliminate the competition of his favorite whorehouse. So, it should come to no surprise that a group of Ohio superdelegates have banded together and told the democrat party to make NAFTA go their way, or they’ll vote for the other candidate.
4. They think Americans are stupid. We cannot be trusted to spend our own money properly, so they’ll tax it all away so that they can give it back, as they see fit. Likewise, the whole concept of a superdelegate was devised after McGovern was trounced. Basically, they think that the average American is too stupid to choose their leaders, so the party leaders built in a system where they had significant control, just in case the “stupid” Americans got out of hand.
