Super Delegate Gov. Eliot Spitzer
11th Commandment Blog ^ | 3-11-2008 | 11th Commandment

Look, up in the sky, it's a bird, it's a plane, NO it's Super Spitzer.

Well like kryptonite in the old comic books, all super heroes have their Akiles Heel. For New York Governor Eliot Spitzer, the Prosecutor of Wall Street corruption, it’s hot petit prostitutes with a side of money laundering. But the question is what will happen to Super Delegate Spitzer’s support of Senator Clinton? Will Senator Clinton have to stand by another man who is a known adulterer? Will Democratic hacks have to go on cable TV and promote that this is just a private matter between two consenting adults? These questions and more on the next episode of “Super Delegate”.

Okay, my first shot at blogging. Self promoting post, but still this Spitzer Super Delegate issue is going to get interesting....

I’m waiting for the, “But it’s a victimless crime,” defenders.

So is buying cigarettes out of state -people that Spitzer went after with a vengence.

He is a superdelegate by virtue of his position as Governor.

If he resigns, the superdelegate status passes to his successor, African-American politician Dave Paterson.

Paterson's vote could go either way, and it certainly wouldn't be already-pledged to Clinton the way Spitzer's was.

I believe that Paterson is/was already a superdelegate. It should result in the net loss of a superdelegate(who would have backed Hillary).

Very good point: since Paterson was elected to his position, he already was a superdelegate in his own right.

I can’t help but wonder if Spitzer was about to flip to Obama and Hillary executed a pre-emptive strike.
