I should add that I think Romney would have won anyway, if RonPaul hadn’t joined hands with McCain. I’m not sure of that, but Romney was VERY close to an absolute majority, and I think the Paul votes would have put him over the top.
The numbers to do support that assertion. It appears the Paul vote split 50-50 once Paul was taken off the ballot.
