It’s been many many years but I bought a book with care plans and copied from it :)

I suggest you do a Google search using the key phrase “sample care plans.” You’ll get multiple results.

A good rule of thumb is prioritize. First address problems based on the ABC’s: airway, breathing, circulation. Next, address physiological needs: nutrition, safety, fluid balance. Then throw in psychological needs: learning needs, coping abilities, family issues, and discharge planning. Any good care plan book will help you formulate your care plan using NANDA approved nursing diagnosis. Most med-surg text books also will be helpful. Be sure your desired outcomes are achievable & measurable. Be sure to let us know how you do.

Any of you FReepers who are in Nursing School who would care to give the husband of a lady in Nursing School some advice, I am all ears. Mrs. Whipitgood is struggling through her first semester.

Finished school. I didn’t flunk out or have to leave on account of my mom’s cancer. She pulled through ok and is beyond thrilled to see me graduate on Tuesday. Now I can start paying some bills again and buy stuff :D WOO HOO!
