He said he was ending his campaign... I wonder if he did it to weed Thompson out. I wonder if he thought that Thompson was there just to overshadow him.
This is a REALLY LONG SHOT. But....
I’m all in!
The Duncan Hunter Grass Revolt will be behind this 100%... and I’m ready to attack Tennessee with a vengeance.
Dear God let Hunter decide to join us in this!
OK, Rush Limbaugh, are you ready to endorse Hunter NOW?
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1958040/posts
Yep. Instead of NOTA, it’s a postive vote for an uber patriot.
I see he had some nice things to say about Hunter......after he dropped out.
Yeah, I can send the coordinators name and email to you tonight after I get home from work.
Don’t run over any RINOs....uh, nevermind.
Hunter was about the first into the race and way later came Tanc and later yet Fred. They took votes and points in polls from Hunter.
Write in his name in the primaries and have a brokered convention.
The point, to have the Mods and Libs left in the GOP race
come to a brokered convention and perhaps other folks may end up being nominated rather than the current lot left.
Brokered conventions ended when the media started picking our candidates.
Pissant, it tells me that the Republican Party doesn’t want conservative members. You can also tell by the posters who hit Duncan threads just to post insults.
I wonder how Keyes got on there???
I don’t want a Democrat as president.
If Rush didn’t want to officially endorse anyone until after the primaries, the LEAST he could have done was have Duncan Hunter on his show for many interviews, and help Hunter with name recogntion. As Hunter said, as a congressman, he didn’t have that much name recognition.
Here’s from a thread that someone (maybe you) posted about a caller to Rush’s show:
“RUSH LIMBAUGH: I like Duncan. I have great admiration for Duncan Hunter.”
http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/home/daily/site_072707/content/01125121.guest.html
OK, Rush, like the old Connie Francis song goes: “Who’s sorry now?”
I am all for doing this- but let's be realistic here. It is like 10 days till super teusday. 10 days. If he does not compete on super teusday, the die will probably be cast. Is that really enough time to rally, especially considering that the MSM will black him out (as they always have done)?
Don't get me wrong. If the net-roots really got together and lifted him up, it could be done, but that is all one could count on is an internet grassroots groundswell. That means a concerted effort between all the inet big dawg sites- FR, RedState, HotAir, etc... Can we really make that happen considering the bare fact that Hunter has already bowed out? Maybe somebody should ping the FredHeads and see if they are game. If FR is working in unison, it could kick this off.
To his credit, Mark Levin tried to move mountains to help Fred Thompson, having him on his show repeatedly over the past several weeks, but otherwise, he didn't help Hunter either when it counted.
As far as I know, Glen Beck and perhaps Laura Ingraham are the only two Conservative hosts who tried to help Hunter. Now, when I turn on the radio and hear Rush and Sean whining about how there are no Conservatives in the race, I just turn the dial to another station, and let them stew in their own hypocrisy.
“You can also tell by the posters who hit Duncan threads just to post insults.”
And very mean-spirited insults, just for the sake of being cruel. Hey, that’s what libs do, come to think of it.
You don’t want a DUmocrat, but you’ll vote for one with an “R” next to their name (RINO) instead?
Some say it’s a cherished right to vote, as long as you vote for what THEY have to offer. Well, communist China has a “freedom” somewhat at par with that.
I think I’ll be sneaking a pencil into the voting booth....
I dunno, a lot of the Fred-heads are more interested in cutting off their noses to spite their faces rather than having to return to the Hunter fold, especially after many of them danced on Hunter’s grave last Saturday night.
What do we have to lose but our country.I’m in.
I can remember when Sean Hannity told us to vote for Gov. Arnold, too, and look how that turned out.
Mark Levin did have Hunter on his show at least a couple of times, and so did Sean (who had everybody on), but when Mark had Hunter on, he was sincerely enthusiastic re: Hunter.
Mark said it’s an HONOR to introduce Duncan Hunter.
Mark said that of all the people who were in these debates, Duncan Hunter outperformed the media’s expectations - is charismatic and solid as a rock on the issues.
I also like Bill Cunningham, who is in Drudge’s old slot. He said almost every week on his show that he liked Duncan Hunter (and a couple of others), but even after Duncan Hunter dropped out, Cunningham said Hunter was his favorite.
I called Cunningham’s show myself re: Hunter.
