Well considering the writers of the Constitution where Christian and the reason we have freedom of religion is because of Chrsitian Principals, I have to support this statement from the Huckster...although hell not get my vote. Remember, we have the freedom of religion not from religion. We are a Christian Nation, that is fact and is undisputed.Incorrect. We have a strong Judeo/Christian tradition. We do not have an established religion. The 1st Amendment protects us from having an established religion.
The more I hear and read from Huckabee, the more he scares me.

AmericanGunner is correct. We have a Government of, by and for the people. It stands to reason, that the Government should reflect that, since we are a predominantly Christian people.
John Adams, on Oct. 11, 1798, said..."Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other."
The First Amendment, as the rest of the BoR, simply prohibits the Government from interfering or encrouching upon religion.
