I like Thompson. He often takes the high road, sticks to the issues and stays consistent all things I have seen people beg for in a candidate, but now that someone is actually doing it, people arent paying attention or claiming that if he wont fight nasty, he just doesnt really want it. I for one am so glad to finally see someone that isnt stinking of desperation. Look at how badly each candidate wants this, they will fight, bicker, lie, cheat, manipulate and go negative. There is only one that just moves on an talks about issues that matter and wont get down into the mud.
Took a long while before officially deciding who I would back and donate to and support and when all was said and done, I chose Fred for all the reasons you listed and the ones I just did.
Aside from his clear, well-thought and well-crafted conservative positions and policies, this is one of the reasons I like Fred Thompson, too.
Id love to see him do a Reagan-style happy warrior speech, where he reminds us of Americas greatness, of the joy and grace of the American dream, and of the brilliant future ahead of us if we stick to the principles that got us this far.
HFred does tell it like it is.
This site is an excellent place to find info on Fred as well as easy access to video interviews.

Want to donate or help Fred by making calls from your home to voters in SC?

If I was in SC, I would be helping as much as I could, but I am a bit north of there...I like Fred as well, and I hope he takes SC.....I have a 2nd choice though which is Duncan, just in case things don’t go Fred’s way....
Fred needs to start throwing some HEAVY MUD at Huckabee if he wants to win South Carolina.
Fred is undoubtedly the best conservative candidate ever. God bless Fred and his family!
Uh...I am supporting Fred but, "best ever?".. whoa there wildcat...
They just updated the Red Truck over at Fred08.
$320,247 in it, $220k to go.
This isn't an election, but a MOVEMENT. Fred is inspiring like no one else. Catch the feaver!!!
I think Fred blew the question in the debate on FOX on Sunday where he was asked why people should vote for him. I really think Fred needs to tell people that he is the only full conservative, social and economic, among the major contenders and that every other candidate, rightly or wrongly will split the coalition that makes up the Republican party. Huckabee may scare off economic conservatives, Guilianni may scare off social conservatives, McCain scares off Americans concerned about immigration, and Romney rightly or wrongly, will scare off some Christian voters. Fred keeps the core coalition together.
Just donated some more cash at www.fred08.com and ask that all FredHeads here do the same today!!
Soliton is an anti-Fred serial poster, trying to disrupt the thread. Here is an earlier post of his, for example:

You cant forget Archangel Fred. He isnt mentioned in the Bible or the Apocrypha. But he has his own cult here.
No pressure here, at all. Just wanted you to know that if you do feel that you can contribute to Fred, please use my fundraiser number 52006
Thanks!
So I can’t say anything or positive and you deny its a cult?
How is being positive being disruptive?
No pressure.
Good on you.
LESTER HOLT: We saw on the Democratic side Iowa became kind of a viability test. We saw some of the lower-tier candidates drop out after seeing the results in Iowa. What is your gut check right now in terms of your own viability? will it be South Carolina, will it be Super Tuesday?
FRED THOMPSON: I’m not going to engage in that — further beating the process issue to death. We’re talking about the future of our country here and the fact that our worst enemies are trying to get their hands on nuclear weapons and we’re bankrupting the next generation. That’s what I’m talking about. The rest is all speculation and I don’t engage in it.
HOLT: It’s a fair point you make; you don’t engage in it. But you were the victim of some rumors on this subject of your viability and questions if you would drop out. How much did that hurt you?
THOMPSON: Well let’s think about that. It did hurt me, and the media lapped it up. It was put out by another campaign; made no sense at all.
HOLT: Which campaign?
THOMPSON: A few days before the election and made no sense at all, and I was coming strong, and the media took it up, and spread the rumo, and probably cost me two or three points in Iowa. So the lesson there is not, you know, politicians being politicians. The lesson there is that the news media really ought to check these stories out and come to me, and ask me, and take my word for it.
HOLT: Senator, fair shot against the news media, but what candidate were you mentioning that put that out there?
THOMPSON: I’m not gonna. I owe you nothing, frankly, in that regard and I’m not going to say anything more about it right now.
I wish I had known that before, I could have used it on my last eight donations. The next one I will, if I can remember or find it [I wrote it down].
Fred needs to demolish Huck in SC. This ain’t funny no more.
I finally made my decision as to who I’ll give money to. I contributed to Fred’s campaign today. :)
He’s the best man for the job is the reason. I learned that from my Step Father, another Second Division Vet, WWII.
In what is shaping up to be a year of many challenges for our country, there is only one man who can deliver us from the evil of liberalism, and that man is Fred Thompson.
Hopefully he knocks Huckleberry Finn back into the Democratic Party
