Yeah you 'could' ask a beat cop to arrest the POTUS but the Secret Service just may take offense to such an (cough) 'aggressive action'.
As to the cop's job being 'safe' - I don't think a dead body full of 9mm bullet holes from the S.S.'s MP5s can put in a full day's work.
So no, his job wouldn't be 'safe'.

Sounds to me more like a case for Judge Judy's TV court. She has about as much actual authority to judge a sitting President as the Brattleboro town council does.
Actually more authority, I think the people who go before those TV judges agree in writing to abide by the court's orders. But a of course president has no such obligation to a panel of old semi-senile flower children such as those who probably make up this whacko town council.

That’s one of the major downfalls of the Left. They don’t care about actual RESULTS, only what is ILLUSTRATED by the action.
