Simply screaming the word "Constitution" in every other sentence does not make a person a "Defender of the Constitution of the United States".
Actually go read Dr Paul's website. Slogans and demagoguery is the total sum of his campaign. Based on his statements, his, and his followers, ignorance on how our system of Govt actually works nears 100%.
We are electing a President, not a dictator or a king. Dr Paul has demonstrated an almost complete lack of the least hint of a possibility of a clue of an notion of an understanding of both the powers granted to, and the limits placed on, on the Office of President by the US Constitution.
Huckabee has surged because he won a couple of debates and he’s got evangelical support. If a quick rise can happen to the liberal pro-life evangelical Huckster, it can happen to the conservative pro-life evangelical Hunter.
