Jimmy Carter is a vile human being and an international villain. The world would have been a far safer place today had he never set foot in Washington.

The “greatest foreign policy blunder in US history,” to use the Democrats’ words, is not the invasion of Iraq, but Jimmy turning his back on the Shah. Imagine how different the situation in the Middle East would be if the monarchy still ruled Iran instead of nuke-crazed, anti-Semitic mullahs. Shah Pahlavi (and his son, who now lives in Potomac, MD not far from me, actually), are some of the rare genuinely moderate Muslims who have collectively stated support for Israel, fought extremism, denounced the mullahcracy, calling it a “cult of death.” If Iran were in the hands of a sane Muslim monarchy rather than this fundamentalist radical regime, we would not be facing half the problems we face in the Middle East today. There would be no nuclear pursuit (with the intentions of wiping Israel off the map), we wouldn’t have to deal with bombing Iran or the NIE traitors, the insurgents in Iraq would not have recieved their weapons that they currently get from Iran, nor would Hezbollah and Syria. Things would be vastly different. Screw you Jimmy Carter!
