That’s not a “rant”. That there is “raving,” as in “stark raving mad”.

Everything anyone wants to know about anthrax can be found by talking with veterinarians in Uvalde, Texas.

At the popular political site FreeRepublic.com, Victoria Clarke posts as "Torie"--a self-proclaimed "statist neocon." The Pentagon's disinformation campaign was already in motion on September 5, 2001, and Victoria Clarke, then employed as Deputy Director for Public Affairs, was its "go-to girl" on "the anthrax question."

Right here, this is false. FR's Torie is/was an affable albeit liberal Republican fellow from California.

It is too early in the new week to have to put up with another attack on FR, hence the following:

If a FReeper did mail ‘fake anthrax’ to Schumer, A.K.A. “the Chuckie Doll”, one can’t help asking, “And your point is?”

Any group the size of FR is sure to have members from all levels of IQ, , economic success, and even mental stability.

What I find interesting about the FR community is that a wheel chair bound individual, who is not a trust fund baby like the Kennedy Klan, Ketsup Man, ad nauseam, could start what became the world’s leading conservative Internet forum.

In the process, the members of that forum have somehow accomplished (to some degree) the redressing some of the ancient insolence of office, have made Americans somewhat more aware of both American history and the Founding documents, AND have contributed to the creation of a more informed electorate.

Given that Jefferson felt that such an electorate was the only safe repository of power, I’d have to say that, on balance, FR has served both American and its members rather well.

Not bad for a member supported “community”. Oh, did I mention that they also managed to become a de facto ‘truth checker’ for the Lamestream Media?

PS The proper curative dose for the Chuckie Doll must be administered by his constituents in the privacy of their voting booths.

Todd Brendan Fahey was the model for the “this is your brain on drugs” commercial.

Not batjack, but a very similar flavor...

I don't consider mailing any "bogus" information to that moron Keith Olbermann a mis-deed of any type. He doesn't report real news---he makes up everything. So how can you possibly supply fiction to someone who only deals in fiction? It's like complaining that you're giving a pig more mud.

As for the anthrax itself, people around here flame me incessantly because while I think it was AQ-related and that the operation somehow involved AQ, they didn't just pull this out of their turbans. I do think someone on the inside was involved, possibly unknowingly, possibly out of duress/blackmail, or possibly for $$.

So I’m a high-level member of the RNC now? Thanks for the memo.

Does this mean I can get a cushy government job after Rove's plan to take down Hillary and Obama secures the election for the pubbies?

Seriously...this guy must have missed his meds for the last couple of weeks!

From the Pentagon to the private sector, Victoria Clarke has been at the center of some of the most historic events in the United States in recent years. Serving most recently as Assistant Secretary of Defense for Public Affairs, Clarke was at her desk in the Pentagon's outer ring when the World Trade Center was attacked on September 11, 2001. By the time the Pentagon was hit, Clarke had already moved to the Command Center, where she was one of a small handful of top aides to stay with Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld throughout the day-leaving the building only to see the crash site and brief the media. From those first moments on 9/11, to embedding correspondents with military units in Operation Iraqi Freedom-a program she conceived, designed and ran-Clarke has played a leading role in shaping the public's understanding of the war on terrorism.
