Passing it on... hopefully those folks who were posting on the orginial thread.. that would like to participate in the PRE-Debate chatter will find this thread.. I wish the mod had just moved the thread off the Breaking bar if they didn’t want in there a few hours before the LIVE debate..

Found this on the St.Pete Times web site. Buzz has some info, but if you watch the video on the “Tampa Bay residents” link, be ready to become ill! The questions from local residents for the debate are of course hand picked by CNN. Obviously the people were hand picked also as there were more questions from liberals than conservatives! No surprise there, but I had some hope that there would be at least some balance. :)

I think this debate is a HUGE mistake for the Republicans, especially after the farcical first You-Tube “Debate”, and CNN’s OBVIOUSLY staged Clinton Infomercial/Democrat “Debate” ....
I disagree.. I think it’s a step into the 21st century.. its “air time” for the candidates.. period.. I think it would be interesting to know how many folks watch ONLINE vs on the TV..
Republican YouTube Debate Questions: A Big Yawn
| November 28, 2007 1:56 PMMore than 5,000 video questions for the Republicans have been uploaded to YouTube for tonight's debate on CNN in Tampa, Fla. That's quite a bit more than the 3,000 or so vids uploaded for the Democratic YouTube debate this summer.
Another difference between the two debates: The videos that YouTube users are submitting are drop-dead boring. A CNN employee who's been screening them says "think Mac. vs PC" Whereas many of the memorable questions for the Democratic debate were both well-made and funny -- think of the animated snowman's question on climate change -- Republican YouTubers tend to be dour and lo-fi: "regular people with video cameras."
What to make of this? Republicans are all brain-dead, creativity-free gun zealots? No, because a lot of those videos were posted by Democratics. But judge for yourself: After the jump, a video question we're told is representative of the batch CNN has gotten for tonight's debate.
I am becoming increasingly convinced that the wealthy, powerful, and somewhat archaic media conglomerates that have controlled the messaging to America for so long are beginning to crumble. As they begin to deteriorate under the weight of a more democratic media system, opportunities to infiltrate the pervasive and corrupt lies and spread truth in love are becoming abundant. As America continues to grow fatigued and sluggish from decades of the mainstream media's preaching of godlessness, bright lights are beginning to shine in the most unlikely media places. And like any small light in a pitch black room, the effect will be unmistakable. - Brian Fisher, Coral Ridge Ministries
I think this media method will get more viewers than the other TV network debates.. what do you think?
It does a superior job of captivating audience interest, which ought to lead to better ratings. IMHO. However a marketing guy would know better than me.
Is this going to be the live thread too or is someone else doing that? What up?
The hype goes on. Gloria Borger is reporting from St. Pete to Wolf. She's talking about the holidays. "All eyes will be on Mitt Romney." (yeah, but i Fla, they are pushing Rudy). So, CNN is already spinning a debate that is hours away... Wolf, "One by one the candidates are arriving." duh
Fla Gov is on. It’s too early as in never for him to be considered for VP but they’re spinning it. Too bad Charlie’s Jag isn’t in the live shot with his boat Freedom by his condo. He likes his toys.
Wolf, "If you see my mother, tell her "hi". Crist, "I will." Gee, such a tough interview...
Anderson Cooper’s usually a pretty straight shooter. I guess we’ll find out today if that’s an illusion.
It looks like your early thread is too early too. lol Three hours to go. Where is everybody? Probably in traffic or eating.
