What was O'Reilly thinking???
----------
What I was curious about was whether this really was important to Mr OReilly, or whether he was just a ratings whore and would say whatever he needed to say to get more people to watch.
I needed to design a very simple test to determine Mr OReilly's motivation. It occured to me to see if FoxNews would take an ad for the movie Redacted.

The network makes money. They stay on top of all of the other cable outfits/misfits. This ploy to make them look bad is very similar in nature to the planted questions of the Clinton campaign and that of CNN.
O’Reilly has nothing to do or say about what ads Fox News or affiliates takes
or where they place them.
Let them waste their money.
Fox is right. Laughing all the way to the bank.
Yeah, but it does look hypocritical when you’ve just done a piece on the same movie, blasting it very forcefully and saying how the troops are going to die because of this movie. And then a commercial comes on hyping this very same movie, which is asking people to go see the movie.
Years ago, on a local TV news show here in my area, the local news anchor was doing a special feature on girls with eating disorders. He highlighted one poor anorexic girl who looked like a human skeleton. It was pitiful. They go to a commercial, and it was a commercial for a weight loss company, hyping how to lose weight. The timing couldn’t have been worse and the anchor apologized.
Fox News is a “more conservative” news network than CNN or NPR. Big whoop. They aren’t a conservative channel.
Accepting the ads for this movie that is only on 13 screens lets them proudly proclaim that they ARE “balanced”.
Would they take ads from the KKK during a report on the Million Man March?
DePalma’s film is treasonous. It should be stifled on principle.
Joseph Goebbels
Mildred Gillars (aka Axis Sally)
William Joyce (aka Lord Haw Haw).
The latter two were convicted of treason after the war. Joyce was hanged by the British. They were ALL Nazi propagandists. Enemies in a time of war.
The thing is that O’Reilly is not doing a live show like the local anchor and wouldn’t know. No doubt someone will tell him.
“Why you would want to throw in with those people is beyond me. They are vacuous, foolish, idealist pinheads.”
Because he’s a vacuous, foolish, idealist pinhead.
Mark Cuban should say a prayer of thanks every night for James Dolan. As long as “Sonny Boy” Dolan is in charge of the Knicks, Cuban does not have to worry about being designated the biggest idiot in the NBA.
I guess Fox doesn’t bill itself as “Fair and Balanced” for nothing.
>>Newscorp is NOT a conservative company.
Two of their successful Sunday night shows are liberally
biased: Simpsons and Family Guy (they’re also usually
pretty fun to watch, though I grimace at the bias).
Though Simpsons does toss us a bone once in awhile. One
episode had little liberal Lisa start to deliver a
leftist screed and Homer blasted a loud air horn at her.
yes!
Libs know deep in their hearts that they are “right” even if the rest of the world doesn’t want to hear their arguments anymore.
