No, pissant had a lot of forwarnings about some of his postings and responses. Including a very public one from JimRob himself.
He had turned down his rhetoric for a while, but couldn't control himself, I guess.

Do a search, I remember the one where he changed the name of the author and attributed the article to Malkin, because it was posted on her web site. He was warned by Jim that day. And there was others!

I got both of those — deleted in short order.

Two of the warnings that pissant received were very public. I saw them and saw the threads.
One of them:
“National Right To Life or National Right To Lie

Best put your efforts into supporting your candidate. Trashing FRed 24/7 will not help you and its wearing thin...”
The other was last summer.
It doesn’t always take inside information to know when someone has been warned. Pissant had a discussion with JR on the thread after that warning.

...The other was last summer. Wow. You have a great memory for a newbie that just signed up 2 months ago.

Glad you put the smiley on that. I lurked for awhile before signing on.
Also did searches on posting history, plus I was there on the thread for the last warning. I have a file of some of their posts to each other on another computer. Pissant irritated me, so it became important to me.
It is always a good thing to find facts before spouting off with too many opinions. I have plenty of opinions, so check them out.

Thanks! I was already in a bad mood when I opened my copy of the rant from ‘IM4ZOTTING’ so I went off on him pretty foul.
But I’m feeling much better now! ;^)

Best put your efforts into supporting your candidate. Trashing FRed 24/7 will not help you and its wearing thin...
Then FR is violating it's own guidelines for what is acceptable for posting. The guidelines per the disclaimer on the home page"
Please enjoy our forum, but also please remember to use common courtesy when posting and refrain from posting personal attacks, profanity, vulgarity, threats, racial or religious bigotry, or any other materials offensive or otherwise inappropriate for a conservative family audience.
Note the term "trashing", however that is defined, is not in the disclaimer. If disagreeing with a candidate's position is considered trashing then everyone is guilty and should be banned and clearly shows FR "trashing" is being selectively applied to candidate(s) FR endorses. People are "trashing" Duncan Hunter by that definition but such posts are still conitnuing. Apparently anyone who doesn't support Fred Thompson, even if it is for the likes of true conservative Duncan Hunter, is suddenly not considered a conservative.

Sorry, Pissant was warned NUMEROUS times about what his posts insinuated and flew in the face of facts. His warnings came from JimRob, while others of us tried to use reason, cajoling, humor, and a number of other ways to make him see that his attitude was not working to help him or his candidate.
This....Best put your efforts into supporting your candidate. Trashing FRed 24/7 will not help you and its wearing thin... ....was one of those warnings from JimRob after a very tedious effort by Pissant and others to continually disparage Thompson despite the facts.
The Rudy supporters did the same thing earlier in the year to a horrible degree with JimRob, and deservedly got booted from FR by him.
It's one thing to have an adverse opinion, but when the owner/operator tells you to knock off certain crap, after a TON of patience, maybe you should listen.

"Certain cr*p" is another very vague term not defined in the FR disclaimer. It only reinforces the point any dissenting opinion of Fred Thompson is interpreted as cr*p and is not tolerated by FR but that same cr*p can be said of other candidates regardless of being conservative. I'm listening loud and clear and what I am hearing and seeing is FR converting from a conservative website to a Fred Thompson website.

First, I do apologize and agree with your point. Emotions were running high on this site after
im4fred jerked some chains... I am sorry, and maybe there is no excuse.
But let me explain what payback can be. I guess someone might try some dirty tricks on the DUmmies site, and I guess that would be very wrong of people on Freerepublic.
But there would be another way to get payback -- to work for good politicians to come out of the 2008 election.
Consider how this weekend there is the expose of the undecided voters at the Las Vegas debate being Democratic Party operatives, it looks like that Party's politics is getting desparate and dirty.
So payback in this sense is to expose things like these Democratic Party operatives posing as undecided voters. Payback is spreading the word to people about this, so the 2008 election will result in more good politicians and less bad ones...
What I meant is more trying to beat an opponent the next time there is a contest.
For example, if Army beats Navy, then Navy might look for ways to beat Army the next year (in football).
The contest here is the 2008 election, and it looks like it might be a Hillary Clinton operative (she has a number of paid bloggers), someone working for the DNC (aka Howard Dean association), or perhaps even someone in the Rudy Guiliani camp (I consider Rudy to be liberal and RINO -- Republican in name only).
