A Mexican man shot by a pair of U.S. Border Patrol agents who were later convicted in the shooting has been indicted on federal drug smuggling charges, authorities said Thursday. Osvaldo Aldrete Davila was arrested Thursday at an international port of entry in El Paso, according to U.S. Attorney Johnny Sutton. A sealed indictment was issued in October charging him with smuggling marijuana in September and October of 2005, several months after he was shot in the buttocks while fleeing from a pair of Border Patrol agents. He said that they proved today that Sutton was lying all along...

The sealed indictment was unsealed...proved Sutton was not still investigating the smuggler..it was ievidence that thedre was ongoing drtug smuggling and nothing to do with the BP...it shpould have been used in their trial...

the illegal alien will be arraigned in El Paso tomorrow at 2.30 PM...

He was smuggling drugs right up to today...

First, I was wrong in suspecting that the reason Davis wasn’t being pursued was that they didn’t have any evidence.

I was wrong because in fact the case WAS on going, and he has now been charged with the crime that people have been insisting he was given immunity for.

Sutton has now done what he promised all along, to find a way to prosecute this man for a crime.

We will all be happy to see him in prison.

The ruling in the R/C case was that a 2nd drug bust was immaterial and inadmissable. It is clear that the reason the information was kept under wraps was that it WAS in fact an ongoing investigation, something others kept insisting was NOT the case.

Keep your eye on the news tomorrow.
The El Paso Times is reporting “Aldrete’s first court appearance will be tomorrow.”

Sutton should be arrested and have his assets seized.

Tom Tancredo just tacked an amendment onto a bill to forbid funding for incarcerating Compean and Ramos.

When this case broke, it was the last straw with El Gringo de Mejico, El Presidente Bush in my book. I will NEVER vote for or support another Bush.

Bush needs to commute the sentences of Ramos and Compeon immediately! Send these boys home for the Holidays. Their families are financially and spiritually broken all because of a lieing drug dealer and a rogue prosecutor.

It's a disgrace and an outrage these men were put on trial in the first place.

President Bush, do you think pardoning the White House Turkey is humane...while these two men ROT in prison?
