Citing and hailing the latest production of epidemiological junk science …

Here comes the first solid prelude to the "denormalization" of alcohol -- the third and final phase of "public health’s" sick-minded social engineering.

Of course alcohol causes cancer! They “proved it” with the same methods used to “prove” the carcinogenicity of smoking: a) multifactorial epidemiological junk science; b) finding molecules that, administered in millions of times greater quantities, may cause cancer in mice.

What else is new? All of you non-smokers who were so happy about “smoke-free” pubs and bars and restaurants, enjoy: it is your turn. The gipsy who welcomes Nazis for ridding him of his Jew neighbours is a pathetic fool; and so is the non-smoker who wants the bar all for himself, as he’s not going to have it for long.

The pubs are already seriously damaged by the smoking ban, although some of them “support” the prohibition, for it is always better to kiss the ass of “authority”, isn’t it? Right down the garden path, however, there will be an aspect of “public health” they will not support: alcohol control!

Here it comes: "The pub industry has been urged to prepare itself for a major and lengthy battle with health lobby groups over the issue of alcohol. Imagine what kind of a heaven pubs will be in the world of “public health”: they will be smoke-free, alcohol-free and – lo and behold – fat-free too, as only crappy vegetarian food will be allowed by law. Indeed “public health” already envisions a “pub-free” society loaded with antidepressants in the supreme interest of that very ‘health and long life’ that is not what the morons who accept this guff are going to get in exchange. They will give up their souls in order to die without ever having lived. I long ago came to the conclusion that contemporary “public health” cannot be dealt with. Its machine must be destroyed, politically, financially, and structurally, just as Hitler and his Reich had to be destroyed, because – as Hitler – it does not know when to stop, or it simply cannot.

This writer is a total abstainer. My BMI is 21, perfect even according to today’s new, sick standards. I never drank in my life and I “hate” the smell of alcohol, especially when I am eating my food. I dislike the irrational stupor of the drunk. I am “forced” to stay home on Saturday nights because of all that drinking and driving that is going on. Drinkers have a terrible breath. The world would be a better place without those idiots (some of them with disgusting, lardy bellies, too!) who often vomit and pee on themselves while they belch and howl about how much they love the smoke-free environment.

Do I sound “anti” enough? Please don’t say yes: I would take great offence -- although I would deserve it ... but, you see, it is so easy to write self-righteous, hateful stuff and to speak it, too. In fact, it takes no intelligence at all – just let the reptile part of your brain do the work. Could that be the real reason why gangs like ASH have the ears of “health-minded" regulators and legislators? Because they are talking to lizards?

At least I should not care about alcohol bans as they do not touch me; but I do – a lot – because it’s a matter of freedom, and freedom is so much more important than “public health” or my personal comfort. I care because they came for me already as a smoker, as they are coming for the fatsos as well. I care because I have Christian compassion, although I am not Christian enough to just turn the other cheeck – even when it’s the cheek of someone else.

It's refreshing to think nobody can tell me that I am an “addict”, this time, and that the “substance” speaks for me. Or perhaps I am an addict: I am addicted to liberty, a vice that absolutely, positively I do not want to get rid of. Give me two hundred drunken buddies instead.

Parenthetically, it's noticeable how in the movies of the 1940s and 1950s alcholism was considered humorous in movies and on TV and how leading men and ladies often put away the hooch onscreen in quantities that seem shocking nowadays.

If you had a movie or TV show about a husband/wife private detective team today, I guarantee that one thing they wouldn't do onscreen is have a gin-drnking contest to see who could put the other under the table a la Nick and Nora.

In today’s world, I Love Lucy would be banned from network TV because Lucy and Ricky smoked on screen (even around Little Ricky, the child abusing fiends!), in order to accomplish the goal of denormalizing smoking. In the meantime, shows like Will and Grace that attempt to make the gay agenda mainstream are encouraged. (I have nothing against gay people, I’m just jealous libs won’t give fatasses, drunks and smokers the same kind of white glove treatment)

The pub industry has been urged to prepare itself for a major and lengthy battle with health lobby groups over the issue of alcohol.

Speaking at the Publican Conference in central London today, Mark Hastings, director of communications at the British Beer & Pub Association, said the industry faced one of the most “concerted and sustained threats to its commercial viability ever” over lobbying on alcohol.

“That’s coming from the level of the World Health Organisation, from the European Union and our own government,” he added.

“Alcohol is the big issue at the moment and it’s absolutely essential that our industry gears up for what is going to be a considerable battle over the next few months and years.”

Hastings claimed many lobbyists working for public health groups, who campaigned on tobacco, had moved across to focus on alcohol.

“The same skills set, the same tactics, the same people are involved with the issue of alcohol lobbying, that what’s gives it the profile it now has,” he said.

“Alcohol is the big issue at the moment and it’s absolutely essential that our industry gears up for what is going to be a considerable battle over the next few months and years.”

The issue over how to deal with the problems associated with alcohol will heat up next week when the Alcohol Health Alliance, made up of 21 health and temperance groups, is launched. Among its proposals is a 10 per cent increase on alcohol tax.

During the debate on how the industry can effectively lobby government, Robert Humphreys, secretary of the All-Party Parliamentary Beer Group claimed that in parliament there was “a body of new puritanism, which is quite sinister.”

Over the issue of alcohol abuse, Nick Bish, chief executive of the Association of Licensed Multiple Retailers called for individuals to take more responsibility for their actions.

“The industry would like to share some of the burden of the problems with individuals themselves,” he said.

Hastings later attacked the industry over its handling of the Licensing Act, prior to its implementation. “For a whole two years our industry turned in on itself and started arguing what the message should be about licensing.” He argued that a “massive vacuum” was created which allowed negative messages about its possible effects to get through.

However, he later added that the industry should not try to “wriggle off the hook” over the issues around alcohol.

That is exactly why in the UK, NHS is pushing this. If Gubmint is given the role of paying for health insurance, it is in their interests to intervene and reduce the costs.
