A CALL TO TRUE CONSERVATISM (Hunter)
crissTcross ^ | 11/13/07 | Tricia Lindberg

Posted on 11/13/2007 4:18:06 PM PST by pissant

Dear Friends and Family,

I am on the march to reclaim the Republican Party and true conservatism. I am calling on all of you to STOP the compromising, step out in faith and vote for principles. Dr. Dobson has set an example that in my opinion is long over due. Why is it that we seem to always need someone to step out first? I can tell you with all confidence that Giuliani, McCain, Paul and Huckabee are NOT true/genuine conservatives. Giuliani is just a liberal dressed up to look Conservative, McCain always says one thing and votes the opposite. I know, I live in his district. Paul continues to say outrageous and bizarre things and Huckabee is not solid on immigration, the war and when asked straight forward "Would you have signed the schip bill?" he would NOT give a straight answer! I shouldn't leave out at least one observation of Romney, he leans toward socialized health care.

Have you noticed this election is being driven by wealthy r i n o (republican in name only) conservatives, Progressives and both conservative AND liberal media? We must stop accepting the lesser of two evils. Stop sitting back and taking what these people are doing to our country/party, and stop swallowing the compromises they want to cram down our throats. We don't need to go along with this or to jump party. What we need to do is draw the line, take a stand and stop letting them run our future. We must follow our conservative convictions. If we don't, I can tell you this with all confidence that conservatism will become irrelevant. We will be expected to embrace the European way. NO MORE TOLERANCE. Speaking of Europe, they are seeing the errors of their ways and beginning to come out of it. Did you hear French President Nicolas Sarkozy in Washington today? ( look it up on fox) He received nine standing ovations. He reached out to America to restore and reunite our relationship and showed great sympathy and appreciation for the sacrifices Americans have made for France.

I want to turn the light on to Congressman Duncan Hunter. It is my belief that the powers that be ignore him because he closely resembles a Reagan Conservative. He is NOT in the pocket of any one, which was one of Reagan's strengths. Congressman Hunter is RIGHT on securing the borders, saving American jobs, winning the war on terror, defending the traditional American family and protecting the unborn. CONGRESSMAN DUNCAN HUNTER IS THE TRUE CONSERVATIVE! If we join together as real Americans to fight for what is right we can smack-down those powers that be and take back the Republican party. Remember, it only takes a spark. Lets burn with passion for true conservatism, for the sake of our children and grandchildren and FREEDOM!

Please visit Congressman Hunter's web page http://www.gohunter08.com/

Thank you for taking the time to read my thoughts. I pray you will join me. Please pass this on to everyone you know.

If you would like to support the Hunter Campaign please do it through my official e-leader web page and help me reach my goal and more.

Does someone have access to that ping list, now that Pissant is banned?

I’m always saying he’s a good man with no chance, and pissant’s always saying he’d have a chance if everybody who said that did something.

I wish I could believe Fred was electable, because it would be a lot easier to live with the current opinion of this site if I agreed with that assessment.

Um, after all your screaming, did you ever think that you reacted just like the phantom e-mailer wanted you to?

I think we all could use a time out, to back off and remember that we will only win if conservatives work together.

A LOT of people here think the goal is to make as much fun as possible of other candidates and their supporters.

I’m sure they will enjoy the “party” at the end where they are the only participants, having chased everybody else away.

I am not on ANY of the ping lists for candidates, and I got the same set of e-mails. It could well have just been picking up names from the common threads.

I think so too. I was talking to a FRiend tonite who's on nothing but prayer lists and she got the FRmail.

So? I'm going w/divide & conquer. Which, of course, won't work.

Well, a lot don’t, too. I have also seen a lot of liberal catch phrases and words here. Again. It had stopped for a while, but it seems as soon as someone shows the least little opposition or disagreement on any candidate, someone is sure to jump in and call them things like “anti-” so and so accuse them of that overused and in most cases inappropriate used word “hate” Lack of support makes a poster guilty of being neither. When did our skins get so thin that we buy into these liberals traps? As conservatives, it should be about issues, not like liberals who allow it to be about emotions.

In a lot of cases, we could do to toughen up a bit and use some reason instead of resorting to emotions. That's all I have to say about it. But rest assured, it is not said in anger.

It’s funny that you don’t mind attacking candidates, just so long as it isn’t your candidate.

I think we’d all be better off it we remembered that our candidates are not perfect, that we are all compromising in some fashion, and stop attacking other conservatives for the compromises THEY are making that they don’t think are any bigger than the ones they think YOU are making.

Let’s boost conservatives, not tear down it’s membership.

Stupid is supporting a RINO or a FRaud as the nominee.

Pissant would never stoop to sending anything as underhanded and malicious as that letter. It just isn’t pissant!

I thought perhaps Im4Fred was banned because she spoke for FR.

No I do not believe he would do that either. I suspect it is someone who knows enough about FR to know how to send that type of spam, but doesn’t know, you cannot speak for FR especially in a warning note saying donate or be banned. Pissant would definitely know better, nor would he do that. This was not a FReeper, IMO

I’m not on a Hunter list, I didn’t know there was a Hunter list, and I got Im4FRed’s FR-mail. I have been fairly vocal in my support of Hunter, should I watch my back?

It had appeared that Im4FRed used the two ping lists (pissant’s Hunter ping list and the Thompson supporter ping list, I don’t know who has been keeping that one). Now it seems like Im4FRed simply copied names off of threads.

Oh well, the individual is gone now. I won’t sweat it, I suggest that you don’t either.

Have a good evening and God bless you,

GB

Should clarify, I don’t think it was pissant who did the mass mail. Not his MO.

Anybody who is the least bit familiar with pissant should know that wasn’t him.

"It’s pretty clear that we ALL got that FReepmail."

That's highly likely. I received one and haven't commented much, if any, in any of the Thompson or Hunter threads for quite a while.

“It’s funny that you don’t mind attacking candidates, just so long as it isn’t your candidate.”

I hold the same view Jim R hold ie as long as the candidate is liberal...all’s fair. I do not attack Duncan or Fred (obviously because I support Fred). Although I defend Duncan, often...especially when I think people are unfair; but also I give my opinion on his viability. So you’re wrong.

So it’s not funny or a joke. It makes perfect sense. I defend conservative candidates. Simple.

“stop attacking other conservatives for the compromises THEY are making that they don’t think are any bigger than the ones they think YOU are making.”

Rudy, Romney, and McCain aren’t comprimises...choosing Rudy is renouncing ones own beliefs (if one ever had them), Romney is like a deck of cards...you never know which face is his, and McCain is unreliable and often unstable.

If I could believe Romney was what he is now, I’d find him semi-acceptable...minus his medical perspective. I can’t accept McCain’s immigration policy...and Rudy is just too much of a compromise.

I’d gladly vote for Duncan in the primary IF he wins early primaries. I think any reasonable conservative would consider this. Fred is my mostly likely vote, and yes to some point we don’t see things exactly the same. But we fundamentally match.

“Let’s boost conservatives, not tear down it’s membership.”

Fred and Duncan will always be supported by me...as will any one whom supports 75% of the conservative agenda. I don’t even ask for 100%...just as long as you’re on board with the fundamentals.

That’s not too much to ask.

Oddly, I find myself repeat things that Jim R says. He said something similiar to this as well. And I agree...but I also agree that we can’t let our party be infilitrated by imposters.
