You are welcome. FoF is very wise to be cautious with the IRS.

Duncan Hunter, Sam Brownback and Alan Keyes are all pro-life, not only regarding the unborn, but also the born, as they all strongly supported Terri Schiavo.

I am going to post two excerpts with links, showing Duncan Hunter, Sam Brownback, Mitt Romney, Rudy Giuliani, John McCain and Mike Huckabee’s (separate link) on Terri Schiavo.

If anyone one has other info. or links on any of the other candidates re: Terri Schiavo, please post.

So here goes..........

From the first debate:

“MR. MATTHEWS: Okay.

Let me ask you a question which has grabbed a lot of Americans personally, the Terri Schaivo case. Again, it was a question of whether the United States — the U.S. Congress should have intervened and passed a law to advise the appellate court whether to act or not in this case, the district court it was. Terri Schaivo, should Congress have acted or let the family make the decision, the husband?

MR. ROMNEY: I think we should generally let the family make a decision of this nature. In the case —

MR. MATTHEWS: The husband should have decided?

MR. ROMNEY: Generally we should make that decision.
In the case here, the courts decided that — what they thought was the right thing to do, and then I think Jeb Bush and the Florida legislature did the right thing by saying we’ve got a concern. They looked over the shoulder of the court. But I think the decision of Congress to get involved was a mistake.

MR. MATTHEWS: Okay.

MR. ROMNEY: I think that Congress’s job is to make sure that laws are respecting the sanctity of life. But to actually adjudicate a case like this, better done at the state level by the governor, the legislature and the court.

MR. MATTHEWS: Senator Brownback, should Congress have gotten involved in that personal case?

SEN. BROWNBACK: Yes, it should have, and it gave her the right and the family the right to take that appeal to the court. That’s what the Congress did.

And her life is sacred. Even if it’s in that difficult moment that she’s in at that point in time, that life is sacred. And we should stand for life in all its circumstances.

MR. MATTHEWS: Senator McCain, was Congress right in intervening in that case?

SEN. MCCAIN: It was a very, very difficult issue. All of us were deeply moved by the pictures and the depiction of this terrible, tragic case. In retrospect, we should have taken some more time, looked at it more carefully, and probably reacted to hastily.

MR. MATTHEWS: Mayor Giuliani, was that a good thing for Congress to do, to get involved that weekend?

MR. GIULIANI: The family was in dispute. That’s what we have courts for. And the better place to decide that in a much more — I think in a much fairer and even in a deeper way is in front of a court.

snip

“MR. MATTHEWS: Okay. Congressman, Bill Clinton back home.

REP. HUNTER: You know, Bill Clinton cut the U.S. Army by almost 50 percent. In this war against terror, he’s the wrong guy to have in there.

==>And incidentally, on the Schiavo case, you know Ronald Reagan said on the question of life, when there’s a question, error on the side of life. I think Congress did the right thing.”

Please note that Duncan Hunter wasn’t even asked the question, but wanted Americans to know that he felt that Congress did the right thing, so showed his feelings while answering another question.

....

Huckabee, on governmental intervention in the Terri Schiavo case:

“I had no problem with the state getting involved because it’s one of their citizens. but I wasn’t sure how the federal government had a role in all that.”’

These FredHeads would have to step back and take a strong look at DUNCAN HUNTER!!!! [personally, I think Fred sucks]>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I just could not picture Fred having a showdown with a modern historical equivalent of fascists like Adolf Hitler. Our next president will likely have to do so with such Islamic Fascists. We will be at war, and Fred does not strike me as one who could get that done. He does not have the military experience or the ability to lead our nation into and out of a war successfully.

Duncan Hunter is THE MAN!

Those who go with FRED have little or no sense of genuine history, which is much more important than "elect-ability." At one time "Lassie" would have been "electable." But Lassie would only do what she was told by her handlers. Fred strikes me as much the same.

We need a leader , not a pleader.

That’s not really true. Issues are put forward by the candidates. Everyone hates Ross Perot but he burst the bubble on liberal spending.

Of course, then the “conservative” republicans got in and spent more, more efficiently than any liberal could have dreamed of.

Pat Buchanan told the world about illegal immigration and the open border.

All these candidates serve a purpose. It just takes years for issues to ripen.

Not one vote has yet been cast.

Ok great! Then you won't have any justification for asking for odds for our bet.

Good for you, xzins. Sunny Carter is right, a tax exempt organization cannot endorse a political candidate. They can push registering to vote, however, if I’m not mistaken. As solid citizens we can each set up such a table at our churches, and hope for the best. And if information on a candidate is mailed to the Church roster by a lay person, I believe that is not an offense.

It will be up to the Evangelicals in the primaries. And we cannot vote against our principles in the general.

Duncan Hunter’s support of school prayer is not a recent position to pander to religious conservatives. This 1984 article proves it.

School prayer proposal pushed by Hunter in House

Hunter cites Gallup polls showing that 81 percent of the American people favor a constitutional amendment allowing prayer in the schools.

“The Founding Fathers wrote the Constitution with the firm belief in a Supreme Being. I think it is ironic that we in Congress start each day with a prayer, but public school children are denied the same right,” he says.

Hunter, a second-term congressman, organized the all-night session with the backing of the Conservative Opportunity Society.

The discussion lasted from 1:20 p.m. on March 5 to 9 a.m. March 6, shattering previous records.

Hunter coordinated the event, lining up the 63 members who spoke and assigning them time slots.

The session coincided with Senate debate on the proposed constitutional amendment, which would reverse a 22-year-old Supreme Court ruling, banning organized prayer in public schools.

In the House, it was the first time in 13 years the issue had reached the floor. The Democratic leadership has bottled up the prayer proposal for years.

A House subcommittee hearing is scheduled for the end of this month but committee leaders show few signs of relenting and letting the prayer amendment reach the full House, regardless of what the Senate does.

Hunter’s efforts didn’t go unnoticed at the White House.

A few hours after the talkathon ended, Hunter received a call from President Reagan, who is the most prominent advocate of the school prayer amendment. Reagan said he had received a number of calls from supporters of the amendment, saying they had seen the House proceedings on television.

“I must have missed the primaries.”

That's the idea. If the establishment RINO republican party can knock out any decent candidate they can AGAIN give us their globalist choice.

“If the establishment RINO republican party can knock out any decent candidate they can AGAIN give us their globalist choice.”

I’m so tired of the RINO elite and MSM picking the candidates for us.

But there’s a lot of us FIGHTING HARD - let’s show them who’s boss!

I called a couple of talk shows, so far, and am working on calling more.

Wow! I wish he would come to my area, but I won’t blame him if he doesn’t. (I live in the very liberal New York State (sigh))
