General David Petraeus has finished two days of being insulted, slandered, browbeaten and patronized by Democrats, which will have to pass for reporting to Congress on the progress being made by the troop surge in Iraq. What we found out, in the moments that those pompous, grandstanding blowhards and the lunatic protesters in the gallery let him get a word in edgewise, is that Iraq is coming along slowly but steadily, enough that gradual troop drawdowns are scheduled to begin by spring.
This is good news for everyone – except Democrats and their moonbat base, as they are completely invested in defeat, though not so much as to do the one honest thing and simply cut off the funding. That would make the Democrats solely and totally responsible for the most-likely horrific consequences. And they don't have the guts to accept that burden. So the next logical step in making it up to MoveOn.org, DailyKos and Code Pink for not doing as they demand (and keep the campaign donations flowing) is to rhetorically shoot the messenger, which explains their reacting to General Petraeus's plain-spoken truth the same way Dracula does to sunlight and crucifixes. And, in turn, their reprehensible behavior toward an honorable man doing his level best to accomplish a difficult mission. (Whom these same Democrats unanimously appointed. If he was so awful, why did they give him the job in the first place?)

Democrats don’t know from truth.......
Yesterday Rush, and today Quinn on “Quinn and Rose” both came to the conclusion that I came to a year ago when I wrote “America’s Victories: Why the U.S. Wins Wars and Will Win the War on Terror,” namely that we will have to defeat the Democrats too-—not just not get help from them, but beat them like the Copperheads of the Civil War and the Federalists in the War of 1912.
The disgrace of this country by the Democrats continues.
The behavior of the Democrats reminds me of that commercial where the guy says naming a product “Titanic” is a bad idea, and the chimps all scream and throw stuff at him.
I think this will blow up in the Dems face in ‘08.
The person who does the best job of exposing what hypocritical, left-wing, “Blame America First” Commies they are is Fred Thompson.
We’ve got to make the American people realize the danger of putting power in the hands of the Democratic Party.
After listening to Democrat after Democrat openly accuse a much decorated General of “preparing to LIE to congress”, it is time for them to act on their words. “Lying to Congress” has become the crime above ALL crimes in the MSM in past months. If these oh-so-hypocritical Democrats truly believe what they are spewing, let them file formal charges against General Petraous or let them confess to their own lying.
The rumbling you hear from underground comes from the Democrats of the PAST, Truman, Jackson, Humphrey and a thousand others turning over in their graves.
