True Crime-Are Maddie McCann's Parents Guilty or Are the Portuguese Cops Just Inept?
The Kaitlyn Mae Book Blog ^ | 9/11/07 | Pat Fish

Time for some True Crime and finally all the murderers involved in that heinous Christian/Newsom murder are rounded up. They were sitting and talking innocently in their car when a gang raped the girl and forced the boyfriend to watch. They made them kneel and shot them execution style. One of them is a woman!

The Madeline McCann mystery tightens up. The Portuguese police say Maddie's parents are under suspicion. Are they targeting these parents in revenge for their own investigative ineptitude?

Lots more including a fellow who threatened his mother's precious cat for ransom.

My understanding is that in a situation like this it is,more often than not,the father and/or the mother who did it.If the girl’s blood was,in fact, found in the trunk of a car that the parents rented after the girl disappeared that would pretty much seal it up for me.

Yes, but they didn’t rent that car until either 3 or 5 weeks (I’ve seen both in the news) after she disappeared.

Where did they keep her decomposing corpse during that time period?

A valid question.Who knows where they hid the girl's body? But reports I've read say that samples of tissue/fluids taken from the trunk of that car were deemed to have been her DNA *and* at least one of the fluids was deemed to be from a decomposing body.I don't know how Portuguese police or courts work but I understand that the lab used was in the UK so the only question could be the competence/honesty of the police who took the samples.

IMO

And more questions.

If they had her body so well hidden that no one found it for 3 to 5 weeks, why would they then risk moving it and maybe getting caught with it?

If they did move it, why wouldn’t they have wrapped the decaying, leaking body in plastic?

I wouldn't even hazard a guess. But statistics show that in this kind of case one or both of the parents are usually responsible.

And the more DNA evidence that the prosecutor can produce at trial the more likely that there'll be a conviction.

Well one thought I had is this.

How many rental car agencies are in the area?

Maybe it’s just bad luck that they rented a car that had earlier been rented by the real killer and used to move the body?
