I am not a fan of the ACLU, but isn’t it a bit unfair to label the organization by the actions of one person?

The first time I heard about this was on Let The Bible Speak Radio a few weeks ago.
LTBSradio: ACLU Lawyer on Porn Charge
Thanks for the update (and I'm glad to hear about the conviction).

I am not a fan of the ACLU, but isnt it a bit unfair to label the organization by the actions of one person? If it were just the actions of one person, yes. But the ACLU has been defending the 'free speech rights' of NAMBLA perverts in Courts for years.
So it's no suprise that a pedophile lawyer wormed his way into the ACLU. If you lie down with dogs.....

That Mr. Rust-Tierney, a leading proponent of unrestricted access to the Internet, has now been arrested for receiving and possessing graphic child pornography should serve as testimony to the injudicious and baleful outgrowth of the legal challenges launched by the ACLU questioning the constitutionality of important legislation that protects children from Internet exploitation and content harmful to minors, the organization said in a statement released by Enough is Enough spokeswoman Cris Clapp.
When Mr. Rust-Tierney [as an ACLU lawyer] argued before the Loudoun County Library Board that unrestricted access to the resources of the Internet was essential for our childrens ability to learn and communicate," [emphasis mine]

He used his 11 year old son's computer... I wonder where his son was at the time.
Didn't Jesus say something about tying millstones around one's neck and being thrown into the sea being better than leading little ones astray?
