Craig Reconsiders Decision to Resign

BOISE, Idaho - One of Sen. Larry Craig's lawyers said Wednesday the Senate has no business looking into the conduct of one of its own following Craig's guilty plea in connection with an airport men's room sex sting.

"We ought to seek to have the committee dismiss this outright," Washington attorney Stan Brand said of a Senate ethics panel's investigation. "Whatever homo restroom shenanigans Craig was participating in has no bearing on his office," said Brand on NBC's "Today" show.

Craig says he may still fight for his Senate seat, a spokesman says - if the lawmaker can clear his name with the Senate ethics panel and a Minnesota court.

I am beginning to wonder what the "thought police" have deemed appropriate to judge the suitability of and elected office holder.

I think someone should post the rules:

1. Do not take sexual preference in to account
2. Sex between two consenting adults is none of our business
3. We cannot use gender as a deciding factor
4. nor race
5. nor religion
6. nor political party

But we may use;

1. Physical vigor and attractiveness
2. age
3. money
4. popularity

Only the last four attributes my be used in determining the suitability of a candidate or office holder. Remember if you consider any of the first six factors, you are a hateful, bigoted, homophobic, uptight, sexist.
