Both.. The main issue stems from not trusting NumbersUSA’s motivation, and thus, I would suggestion not taking anything they say at face value.. once you do that, you’ll see that a lot of what they say is blatantly false.. another example, look at the quotes (Thompson’s for example).. they really pick out half sentences and say it means XX even though in the full quote, he actually says the opposite. Look at the full speech he gave on the immigration problem (that the editorial picks out just the part about how we should ‘just worry about the next 12 million).. they make it look like he is saying not to do anything about the existing 12 million, yet he said the exactly opposite..
Question everything.. there is so much bad information out there, and much of it cross references each other, that it is hard to find the truth.. look at how many people think Ron Paul is a Constitutionalist even though, if you look at his voting record, he is a moderate libertarian at best...
To put it in context.. how many sites misrepresent Duncan Hunters so called ‘pork’ votes? You and I both know they are for needed defense bills, but how many times have you seen the bad information repeated over and over with just the dollar figures and now what he purchased...
