No, hopefully the several calls for ‘deportation’ are jokes. Imagine what would happen to the judicial system if anyone on a jury thought that they could be deported if they ruled incorrectly in a case (based on the opinion of people on the sidelines.)

I think we need to remember the jury didn’t know the mandatory sentence.. for all they knew, these guys would get a slap on the wrist. Read the court transcripts.. it’s easy to sit here and complain, but the view is much different in a jury box.
