The hubris of the left was on full display as the much touted 'Live Earth' concert swept the globe last Saturday. In their noble quest to save the earth from the ravages of mankind, the usual suspects came out in droves (and private jets) to lecture Joe Blow on the dangers of global warming and confirm their own moral vitas before an audience of millions.
This was a rare win-win situation for leftists. Face time before millions along with a chance to show how concerned and sensitive they are.

Everyone I’ve spoken to say they avoided it altogether or turned it on by mistake and quickly changed the station.
These “stars” are sick beyond belief. I was hoping and praying that Angie would show up at this mega-flop, and that some enterprising reporter had tallied up her private jet mileage numbers; those poor kids live on private jets, they don’t really have a home. She should be in prison for child abuse, that would be OK, since she already has the dirty, cheap tattoos of a San Quentin lifer.

You know, I think it’s about more than the left trying to grab what they consider the moral high ground. Morality isn’t exactly their strong suit.
I don’t think it’s pointed to often enough, but I think the left wants the little people to conserve so they don’t have to. The lefties running this, are wealthy. Their kids will be wealthy. They want the world to be pristine, and clean for them and their offspring. They don’t care what the little guy has to give up to save the planet. The elites will keep using, and polluting, they’ll just buy carbon credits!
If this doesn’t ring of Soviet communism, nothing does.
