So yesterday, my 10 year old daughter and I went to the grocery store. As we were coming out with our groceries, us and several other shoppers were waiting to for the driveway in front of the store to clear so we could get to the parking lot. Just as we all started across the "crosswalk" some guy in a pea green Ford Escape Hybrid came speeding into the crosswalk. We all backed out of his way and then after he passed we all proceeded into the crosswalk again.

Apparently the guy saw a parking spot he wanted in the isle that was in front of the crosswalk and stopped, threw the car in reverse, and started backing into the crosswalk at a high rate of speed. I had to yank my daughter out of the way while the rest of the customers fled the crosswalk. The guy's license plate was "B GRN" and had a "Gore 08" bumper sticker.

The guy was pretty shocked when I kicked his back bumper and explained in a very loud and colorful way why being concerned about hurting humans was more important than being concerned about hurting the planet. I then explained to him how that he was in Texas and that everything about that car translated to Texan as "please kick my ass". The guy decided to go elsewhere to do his shopping, not so much from me yelling at him, but because of the large crowd that was standing behind me ready to prove me right. I'm sorry that my daughter had to witness me not being a "compassionate conservative", but sometimes stupidity has to be pointed out and acted on.
