“Not only has the music and the performers been wonderful, but a sub-theme of this whole day has been the promotion of our multi-cultural earth and the positive results we can achieve if we just cooperate.”

Okay, this just made me throw up a little bit. Truly a *gag* moment!

“Al Gore is reminding us of the America we used to know!!!”

And it was only 20 years ago that Al Gore and his wife Tipper were leading congressional obscenity hearings into bands like The Red Hot Chili Poopers.

He played on our fears again and again.

Frank Zappa and John Denver are rolling in their graves at this foolish spectacle.

I went to a Party For The Planet Night... Unfortunately, it was a bogus address. No doubt a troll of some sort.

Pizza delivery for I.C. Weiner.

The Presidency would be a prison for Gore. Now, he can do as he likes, go where he wants and when he wants.

Wait a minute, I thought that was Bush's problem...he does what he wants, when he wants, where he wants. Seems to me, if algore was president, he could order the world to stop warming. Remember all that good anti-warming stuff he did when he was VP...uh...never mind.

"The whole point of these concerts" and Gore's earlier Chicken Little Warnings is to make a buck for himself and his fellow libshits in Hollywood and in newly created liberal enterprises that promise a citizen "solution" to this latest liberal cause.

I prefer to believe Richard Lindzen Ph.D., MIT (Climate of Fear) and other noted climatologists' explanations for the earth's 1/2 degree temperature increase over a dimwitted divinity student, Al Gore.

What was that our great grandpappy's used to call idiots like Al Gore = Snake Oil Salesman

Well, yes. Dickies actually.

I actually remember "dickies". My mother made me wear them, along with those gawd-awful capri pants. I wonder how many young pups on this forum are scratching their heads wondering what "dickies" are?

Al, Al, Al, they didn’t go to the Live Earth concert to listen to a sermon about Earth, they went to Live Earth because of the bands.

I’m still laughing at that one person’s mistake that this was that thing Nelson Mandela was putting together...

Whatever happened to that? One.org?

When people talk about mind control, the tin foil hat alerts come out, but what is Global Warming(TM) if not some form of mind control? It is completely insane to believe in and yet the news media and politicians keep pushing the lie. And then intellectual cripples like the DUmmies all end up believing it.

It’s complete insanity and incredible hubris.

And then the people telling other people who to live to “reduce” their carbon footprints have a footprint 100 times the size of Sasquatch. And yet all the DUmmies follow them over the cliff.

There is a line in Philip K. Dick: Mental illness is not funny.

There’s a line from someone else, don’t know who or the exact quote but it’s something like: No matter how much or how long I starve myself, I cannot feed the entire world.

Well a DUmmie cannot hide in his mommy’s basement long enough to effect global climate change.

It is such stupidity it is alarming. In fact, the stupidity of the DUmmies and Gorebalists is more harmful to the world then is the fake Global Warming(TM) they crusade against. In fact, it has been when certain regions experienced cooling periods that the greatest suffering has occurred.

It is such stupidity that it can only be some form of mind control. So pass me the tin foil hat (even though it’s the copper lined hats that actually work ;)).

Every time I hear algore I am moved to use half a roll of Charmin and flush several times.

Don't do that or Sherryl Crow's Police will arrest you and torture you by singing "All I want to do is have some fun".

I was thinking today how cleverly Gore has handled the Draft-Gore movement. He may have no intention of running whatsoever, but his magic and currency as a POTENTIAL candidate adds luster to his (and our) cause of saving our planet.

Do the people who are always doing poll numbers on theoretical things have poll numbers of Algore against any random Republican?

It seems to me, they must, and since there are no major news stories on such, I have to assume that Algore doesn't win in such a match up.

Ha! I remember going to an “Earth Day” concert in Central Park in NYC about 15 years ago. My girlfriend (now wife) and I were pretty disgusted at the amount of trash that covered the grass in the aftermath.

In today’s Newark Star Ledger, there were several fawning articles about the half attended concert. One article interviewed some girls that were picking up trash in the parking lot that resulted from the tailgate parties.

Tom Lehrer, in his satirical song "The Folk Song Army," has the telling line, "If you wanna end war 'n' things, you gotta sing loud."

It also had the verse:

"Remember the war against Franco?
That's the place where all of us belongs.
He may have won all the battles;
But we had all the good songs."

The bottom line is quite simple. The people who participated in Earth Live (or whatever do-gooder concert) are exactly like the people who participate in DU. They have NO SENSE OF PERSPECTIVE, whatsoever.

Each and every one of them would run screaming into the night if they were ever to receive Robert Burn's gift: "Ah, what gift the gods would gie us / To see ourselves as others see us." They are pathetic in their ignorance, and aggressive in defense of that ignorance. Bad combination, that.

This feel-goodery is so gosh-darned beautiful I could just cry. People dancing and singing all over the world, I guess the venues in Iran, “Palestine,” and North Korea were all booked up yesterday.

Al Gore doesn't wear Superman pajamas. Superman wears Al Gore pajamas

"Al Gore May Have Changed His Pajamas Today."

Frankly, I don't care WHO wears the pajamas in that family just as long as they keep it in the bedroom. Ben Burch would probably join them.
