Why shouldn’t we care what he said? If he wants to run for president, then he needs to be held accountable for his past statements.
I don’t think that I will lose my FR membership over my lack of fred worship. This is a conservative site and we don’t all have to blindly accept Fred Thompson.
Because his past statements were not a full endorsement of abortion rights although they are ambiguous and the anti-Fred folks are interpreting them as such. Anyway, those statements are voided considering his voting record and current statements on abortion.

Nice strawman, but it's not about that. You are selectively cutting and pasting old remarks made by Thompson and construing them as pro-abortion, and that's against the Forum rules here. I don't care if you don't support Fred, just don't lie about his record.
