Because his past statements were not a full endorsement of abortion rights although they are ambiguous and the anti-Fred folks are interpreting them as such. Anyway, those statements are voided considering his voting record and current statements on abortion.
I don’t think that I will lose my FR membership over my lack of fred worship. This is a conservative site and we don’t all have to blindly accept Fred Thompson.

The statements ARE pro-abortion. There is no way for them to be construed otherwise.
Now I can see that you are trying really hard to get me banned or something, but how can you keep accusing me of lying about his record? I have never claimed that he has a pro-choice voting record, I only claimed that he made pro-choice statements in the past, which is true.
