I'm told this is a "Carpet Python." It's a bit larger than the occasional little green snakes I find under my doorstep.

Yup... I guess when you’re that big you can pretty much eat anything you want.

I’ve seen these pictures quite a while ago on strangecosmos.com. The snake is dead. It was electrocuted and that is why it is just sitting there. No greenies, no phantom farmer.
A thread earlier today was doing the .50 cal sniper video from Iraq that was actually rockchuck hunting out West.
Must be the day for recycling what goes around.

OK... That’s the second time I’ve posted a snake photo and then found out it was bogus. I’m starting to feel snake bit...

According to Snopes, it all took place in Africa, not Australia. That’s what I get for not 2x-checking the thing before posting it.
Well... the story’s half right. It is after all, a python under an electric fence.
Apologies from me.

Carpet pythons have different coloration (lighter lighter patches) and are somewhat smaller

Heck, why are you apologizing to me? It is a cool photo after all. I just spend too much time on the web and caught it. Just keep posting and don’t mind me.
