That would be other Southerners. I lived 2 1/2 years in Texas, so I got to observe Texans up close. They have a large admixture of “Westerner” in their psychological make-up. Just for the record, I am Southern.

I lived in Texas for a couple of years. Lake Jackson, south of Houston, I think. Anyhow, I was a teenager at the time and didn’t fully appreciate it. Teenagers can never see past their nose, it seems. LOL. Texas is great! I would have loved to have seen west Texas. I just got to see east Texas.
