The President Is Losing Me

I am past the "Losing" part. He has already LOST my support, and if possible again, my vote. I will never vote for anyone named Bush again. Three wasted Bush votes. First for Read My Lips daddy, and now, Everyone Come On Down, Free Stuff as Legal Illegals. I am disgusted with Bush.

One thing good Bush has done and I will admit this.

I held my nose and voted for him twice.

However, I will never ever hold my nose and vote for the lesser of 2 evils again.

The man I vote for be he Republican, Democrat, Independent or Blue haired freak will be a Conservative and he will represent my views to the 90% range or I won’t vote for him.

The Republican Party has bent me over for the last time.

It won’t happen again.

Lol. Concise communication is so important. See, you speak of republican political lack thereof whereas I speak of their embodiment.

Ohhh it is scary what some people now think ‘conservatism’ means. Apparently Bush is some sort of ultra-conservative freak. Or a nazi. Or a conservative nazi (sorta like a round square). They are so blinded by their view of the war that they think demented things (I’m talking about the overt leftists btw - it is easy to be confused about the target of that statement).

Finally and answer for the "malaise" I have been experiencing for quite some time now.

I too have BES.

Is there a support group available? Perhaps BesA?

Hi, I'm Greg and I am a Estrangemeholic!

The left would hate Bush, war or no war. But they hate everything and anything that’s not communist anyway.

I was actually excited to vote for him the first time, after my main man Dr. Keyes wasn't available any longer for that type of excitement.

The second time it was definitely, "He is not Kerry", thank God!

I guess his legacy will be - "Heh, heh, well .... I kept Gore and Kerry out, and when ya think of it, that ain't all bad now, is it?

Don't cha just love the Science Politics of Relativity?

I do not have BES, but i do have Bush on my personal “ignore” list, he just doesn’t have it, and what is worse, he is trying to pander to people who have abused him for years as if they will remember him fondly now....

Bush should fly to Baghdad, and give a press conference from the tarmac at Baghdad Intl Airport, not pander to global warming wackies....we are now officially political orphans.

I tried to trust him. I really did. But every other time he made a move my stomach just knotted up.

I want a REAL conservative this time. I don’t care who it is. I am studying the candidates. Have ruled out a couple but have not made my pick yet.

Yep. I’d vote Thompson on conservative principles or Guilliani on a republican desire to keep any freakin democrat(because they have ALL gone over the edge into the abyss. They don’t bum me out, they scare me).

You expanded the federal role in education, and we held our nose because of the war.

Simply not true about the war.

We were attacked by a foreign enemy that murdered 3000 of our fellow Americans. I did and still do fully support the war. While I would have fought it differently, this is the president I elected to make such decisions, and his insistence on a rebuilt Iraq is not out of line or irrational. It's simply different than how I would have done it.

I think Levin is agreeing with you. Yeah the war should be/could have been conducted better. Nothing Levin said disagrees with you though. As for me, when it comes down to it, I’ll vote for the guy who I believe is as dedicated to the war on radical islam as President Bush has always been. And thats because the most important thing a president has to come through on is national security. (As he grinds his teeth) not taxes, not immigration, not abortion, not global warming, not the increasing size of government, and not the socialism and one worldism, anything goesism of the left. Its the job of the president to make sure that a dirty bomb is not coming soon to a theatre near you. That said, President Bush has destroyed the republican party’s ability to go forward on national security and pretty much everything else.

Although we can send men and material around the world to fight and win in two world wars and finance the rebuilding of Europe and Japan, we have extreme difficulty in building a wall, checking for forged documents and repatriating 12-20 million criminals with their country of origin. This is the group hallucination we live in today formed by pessimism, propaganda and polls. Could you imagine if these cake eating politicians had to cross a continent in a wagon pulled by oxen?

It would be refreshing to see the federal government go after illegal aliens with the same vigor they go after tax evaders. Perhaps the illegal aliens have set a precedent; you can pick and choose the laws that you will abide to. If enough people do it you can overwhelm the system. What would happen if 20 million taxpayers decided, no more taxes? The worse you could expect is catch and release, a small price to pay to keep your income. Believe me building a wall along the border and repatriation is a piece of cake compared to adjudicating and imprisoning 20 million people for non-payment of taxes.

“We used to wonder how in the nineteenth century it was possible for so few to have so much at the expense of the many. Now the wonder is that so many get so much at the expense of the few. A showdown between the few who work and the many who don’t will make a strange sort of revolution.” —Eric Hoffer

Ya, his yelling at us the other day about not wanting to do what was right for the country caused me to make a guesture to my tv that I haven’t made to a president on tv since the Clinton years.
