His reasons: it’s not a big deal, it happens every day, some (white) racists are running with it, and it’s not a race crime; the “authorities” and the perps said so.
I suppose some of the folks beating the drum on this could bother to contact the county prosecutor and make sure he asks for the death penalty ~

The vehicle was ditched hours later. Whatever the crime, it wasn’t a robbery. You’d have a better chance calling what happened to Matthew Shepherd a robbery gone wrong.

Unfortunately, this Satterfield guy is correct in his analysis of the newsworthiness of such crimes. It’s really this simple:
black-on-white crime = dog bites man
white-on-black crime = man bites dog
