Gee when did all the Marxists infiltrate the Conservative movement?

Amazing that the very people who scream loudest about “Big Govt” suddenly are more then willing to spend the entire treasury, and scarifies all Liberty to the Govt. as soon as they find a “crises” THEY want to “Fix”.

Yes the story of America is being rewritten daily. It’s called revisionism.

BTW thanks for the correction, Destroying is what I was going for.

You don’t have to be a Marxist to know that unrestrained corporate power is as bad as government tyranny or religious tyranny!

Unrestrained corporate power is what saved us from unrestrained government power. Unless you’re offering some sort of new solution, an attack on one is inevitably an endorsement of the other.

Does de story begin with “once upon a time” and end with “and they all lived happily ever after”?

Not so! The Founders were going for a separation of powers to prevent the subjugation of the people.

They succeeded by dividing government power and repressing religion. What they missed was the monopolious power of the corporation which enviably will enslave us all.

You draw a false dichotomy between government control and corporate control the two do not act to cancel each other out. That is a lie created to allow corporate power to remain unchecked. We need more anti-trust protection not unencumbered corporate monopoly and power.

Any consolidation of power is a threat to the individual’s freedom no matter what cloak it wears.

The last time I checked, corporate power wasn’t “unrestrained” there’s a nasty bit of legislation called “the tax code” that sees to that.

Now, I don't know why you couldn't simply post that here. It makes no sense to put a blurb here in Free Republic, to go to another web site, to see the video, when the video (which you were referencing), can be done simply like below....

“Any consolidation of power is a threat to the individual’s freedom”

And is also necessary for any form of human civilization. IMO the big problem of the 20th and 21st century is not unrestrained corporations, but the way that certain monopolies have used government power to bolster their position in the market and prevent competition.

Then you haven’t checked!

Corporations are notorious for avoiding taxes. And the taxes that they do pay are not regulatory in the preventing of corporate malfeasance or actions that are harmful to the society in general.

Or are you as ill informed as an infidel would be about religion?

But the way that,
"certain monopolies have used government power to bolster their position in the market and prevent competition."
IS the essence of unrestrained corporate power! I can't see how you could miss your inconsistency in logic here.

You know..., if you want to have people look at your web site, just put in a signature line (i.e., just sign-off at the bottom of your message) and tell people to visit your web site for more information. And, put some stuff on your FReep home page, too. That way you’ll get some “look-sees” on your website/blog. Anyway..., it’s just better to include it all here, and then ask people to “come on over’...
