Well it made me care. Just get out a shotgun and kill the guy!

Read my post, I challenge one of those jurors to explain their logic.

She is disgusting and should not be on this Earth any longer. She should have gotten the death penalty. The jury once again did not look at the evidence. I know. I know. I was not there but come on just what we do know constitutes cold blooded murder. Blast away...

I bet they could explain their emotions, though. ;)

She should have gotten the death penalty.

She'll be out in 6-16 months the way I figure. She only has to serve 30% of the sentence and already has 5 months credit.

This is a case of barely guilty by reason of ovaries.

Well I have ovaries. Once upon a time, they even worked.

Anyway, that verdict was a crime before God.

Hey, True Crime often attract participants I have discovered through Blogging on it. One of those jurors will contact me....I’ll bet on it.

Keep checking in. Bookmark my site if you dare.

The jury foreman already made a statement. Only 2 males on the jury. The females believed the supurb acting job by Mary Carol. The foreman wanted murder 2 but caved.

In the meantime, Mary Carol has “blossomed” and is upbeat and ready to get on with her life. I wonder if the judge had allowed the pics of meek Mary in the bar, drinking and smoking, it would have made a difference?

There's an article in today's Jackson Sun where a juror tries to explain the verdict - not very well in my opinion.

She says that prosecution proved nothing despite Mary's initial confession and the coroner's report that Matthew had to be sleeping when shot.

She also says that she believed Mary's testimony despite all the proven untruths.

She discounted the 9 year old daughter's testimony. She thought the little girl may have been "coached".

A look inside the jury

He made her wear a wig and high heels?

Oh, the humanity.

Dear Lord,

Yer right. Nothing that I read about that jury’s decision convinced me that there was any logic to the verdict.

Did you happen to read the comments below? Most of them were rancorous towards Mary Winkler and most commenters consider that she got away with premeditated murder. Which she did.

One commenter said, I’m not making this up, that any fool should be able to look at meek looking Mary Winkler and see that Matt Winkler was in full control.

Is this how we decide criminal verdicts now, by looking at the charged and determine how they “look”?

I need a shot of something strong.

No logic - all feelings.

I found most the comments under the article heartening, but one poster commented that Mary made a "terrible mistake". What kind of mistake is it when you pull the telephone away so the suffering victim can't call for help?

The only very faint silver lining in this travesty of justice is that if Mary is free soon, her behavior may run so counter to the "Meek Mary" image that it will serve to better clear the sullied picure of her late husband that she and her lawyers manufactured.

I just hope she never gets custody of the daughters. that would be the crowning tragedy of this affair.

It seems you are right. I just posted an article about the sentencing.
