Ron Paul is quite dedicated to keeping government within its Constitutional limits. We should all applaud him for that.

Rep Paul is the Republican version of Gov Moonbeam. He also is in trouble in Texas.

Rep Paul is the Republican version of Gov Moonbeam. I thought Arnoid the Republican's very own Kennedy had that honor.

BTW Ron Paul was an early on congressional supporter {1976} of a former Cali governor who later became POTUS. Too bad the GOP didn’t listen then either and choose the liberal looser instead who lost to a liberal. History proved Ron Paul’s support to be correct.

Hold the Constitution in front of most Republicans and you'll get a derisive, hate filled objection: "How dare you, HOW DARE YOU, ask me to follow that ol' rag." I would be interested in the responses of conservative Republicans who would take exception to your statement. I am sure Ron Paul would, though I doubt he has the time to read and reply to FR.

Just for kicks look up a picture or George McGovern and put it side by side to Rudy. They could pass as brothers. Possibly twins.I see a lot of similarities.

There are not 10,000 conservative Republicans on the planet. I'll stand by my statement: Most Republicans are horrified by the Constitution and Bill of Rights.

He also is in trouble in Texas.I heard something similar to that last year just before the midterm elections. He won comfortably.

There is a state wide morning radio show (sorry, don`t have the name) that is really taking Paul on. They don`t like his stance on the War or the Border.

At this point, I would say it is a reason to vote for him. Our military presence in Iraq is liberal spending of our present tax dollars, future dollars, and American lives. Maybe it would stop the redistribution of our tax dollars to some mosques, too.

Well, I'm not surprised a talk radio show in Texas doesn't support his stance in Iraq. But the border? I can't imagine how they could be disappointed with his platform there:
Border Security and Immigration Reform
The talk must stop. We must secure our borders now. A nation without secure borders is no nation at all. It makes no sense to fight terrorists abroad when our own front door is left unlocked. This is my six point plan:
-- Physically secure our borders and coastlines. We must do whatever it takes to control entry into our country before we undertake complicated immigration reform proposals.
-- Enforce visa rules. Immigration officials must track visa holders and deport anyone who overstays their visa or otherwise violates U.S. law. This is especially important when we recall that a number of 9/11 terrorists had expired visas.
-- No amnesty. Estimates suggest that 10 to 20 million people are in our country illegally. Thats a lot of people to reward for breaking our laws.
-- No welfare for illegal aliens. Americans have welcomed immigrants who seek opportunity, work hard, and play by the rules. But taxpayers should not pay for illegal immigrants who use hospitals, clinics, schools, roads, and social services.
-- End birthright citizenship. As long as illegal immigrants know their children born here will be citizens, the incentive to enter the U.S. illegally will remain strong.
-- Pass true immigration reform. The current system is incoherent and unfair. But current reform proposals would allow up to 60 million more immigrants into our country, according to the Heritage Foundation. This is insanity. Legal immigrants from all countries should face the same rules and waiting periods.

Hes against the war in Iraq. All the reason not to vote for him. Yes - Willard Mitt Romney IS the choice to ramp up the military - ( add 100,000 troops . . . . . How? . . . . Re-institute the draft ?!) - Yes Romney will spread American interventionalist globalism at enormous expense to slowly cripple the value of the dollar and undermine the solvency of the nation - . . . Ron Paul is the fiscal conservative choice who would re-deploy the vast majority of troops "stateside" to man the border that is now - and will still be on January 21, 2009 - the significant threat to national security.

There are not 10,000 conservative Republicans on the planet. There WERE though 430,000 conservative libertarian constitutionalists nationwide in the United States of America who had already voted for Ron Paul in the 1988 Presidential election as the third party candidate - those blocks of voters would vote GOP with Ron Paul as the nominee coming out of St. Paul in the first week of September 2008.

We need another Ron in the White House We do indeed. If Reagan had a majority in both houses he sure wouldn't have wasted the opportunities that Bush has and the moderates running likely will. Reagan wasn't perfect but he was our best Post WW2 POTUS and it's been a down hill slide ever since.

Maybe it would stop the redistribution of our tax dollars to some mosques, too. There is no justification for some of the spending going on in Iraq. We don't owe them anything nor should we be trying to bribe Iraq to behave.

I pray you are wrong, but the current regime does not seem to be interested in defending our borders while our men and women get slaughtered on the other side of the planet.
