Excerpt: Without getting into the reasons why I’m not considering any of the other current presidential hopefuls please allow me to introduce you to a man who I believe has our country’s best interest at heart, Dr. Ron Paul.
In my opinion he’s the statesman we need for the tough job of restoring our Constitution and our Republic.

He just finished 4th in the CA GOP Assembly straw poll, ahead of Rudy, McCain, and Gingrich.

Pretty darn good.

Put a bra on Ron Paul and you have Hillary Clibton.

Take the jock strap off of Hillary and you have Ron Paul.

I’ll take FRED THOMPSON over either one of the aforementioned knobs any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

He’s against the war in Iraq. All the reason not to vote for him.

Especially in a state where RINO's have had safe haven. Maybe the dysfunctional GOP of the last 12 years is fixing to be over ran by a Conservative revolt.

Dear God, we really would be screwed then. Listening to Ron Paul really makes me want to shove a pencil in my ear. He’s so far to the right, he sounds exactly like the left.

Put a dress on Rudy or not and you have Hillary. Look Fred Thompson is a great lawyer but he is a sorry elected leader. Remember the Not Guilty Vote? Remember how he let John Glenn run rough shod over him? If any one man in the senate could have taken down Bill Clinton it was Fred Thompson. He took on very corrupt organized crime in our state that led to the prison term for an ex-governor. He was decent his first term as a senator but in his second term he became another insider.

Please name me the Republican Congressman who called for a formal Declaration of War against Iraq. Did we need to go to war to remove Saddam? No likely we didn't but Bush didn't try a cheaper and effective under the Constitution called a Letter of Marque which Ron Paul does support. As it has turned out I do not support how our government is handling the war in Iraq. Bush lost my support the first week when it was obviously to become the Great Bush Legacy Nation Building Project. BTW in 2000 Bush was against nation building. IOW Bush took the advice of Idiots that were left over from the Ford and Poppy team. What wars did they win?

Rummy was the grand planner for the Hollow Carter Military. Don't tell me he wasn't I was in service at the time. It was messed up before Carter took office not that Carter did any better because he didn't. Ford/Carter about one in the same politically just like the Bush's and Clinton.

Ron Paul is an opportunity for the GOP to support conservatives again, if nominated, he would be the first conservative nominee since the last Ron who ran for Presidency as a Republican.

That's real typical of you Paul haters to immediately go into the gutter with lame-ass attacks because you can't find fault with his pro-Constitutional record. BTW, I'm not a Paul supporter because of his stand on Iraq & the fact that some of his "no" votes are an anachronism to the world today but I can understand his point of view.

He's against nation-building and trying to referee sectarian violence over there. He voted in favor of the Afghanistan theater.

because you can't find fault with his pro-Constitutional record.

Actually, that's the whole point. For most Republicans, a Pro-Constitutional record is the fault.

Hold the Constitution in front of most Republicans and you'll get a derisive, hate filled objection: "How dare you, HOW DARE YOU, ask me to follow that ol' rag."

He's the only one I see running who's record is a proved Constitution based conservative.

Yep, exactly. That’s why the GOP always try to find someone to run against him.

Just for kicks look up a picture or George McGovern and put it side by side to Rudy. They could pass as brothers. Possibly twins.
