Charles Lindbergh and Senator Kennedys father, Joe Kennedy, changed their minds about Adolph Hitler and Nazi Germany when their true nature became obvious. I guess I have to say that, reluctantly, I am changing my mind about the dangers posed to the future of America by Muslims who seem determined to impose their Sharia and their beliefs on the rest of us.
We cannot any longer ignore what has happened and is happening in Great Britain and in continental Europe as the tide of peaceful Islam rolls over their culture and their citizens. And it is happening here.

Please cite instances of American muslims exposing jihadists.
The trouble with Islam is its overwhelming need to dominate the bodies of others. It is not just concerned with the state of the souls of others, but their worldly conduct and affairs as well. And as all extremist ideologies, it must not only dictate the worldly affairs of its followers, but those of all other peoples as well. Even moderate Islam is only a few steps and a corner away from extremist Islam, as moderate Islam has been rather silently cheering on the extremists, while at the same time hiding in their closets hoping the extremists don’t show up on their doorstep. A terminal case of NIMBY perhaps?
Christianity, and other even far less evangelistic philosophies and religions, at least the peaceful ones, are concerned more over the state of the individuals soul. In fact, a primary Christian and even Jewish wisdom is that first we must look after our own soul before we go after trying to save the souls of others. And the pacifist nature of Christ and his message of love for our neighbors as we love ourselves, coupled with the fact that only the individual is responsible for their own state of grace, means that dictating external morality is futile and counter productive. This doesn’t mean we shouldn’t have a modicum of morality embedded in our laws, but that it should out of necessity be moderate and geared to ensuring a peaceful and safe society in which people can seek a state of grace as they will, when they will, if they wish to. Not to mention the fact that such a society would also necessarily encourage individual productivity, purpose, and meaning as a result.
