I could hardly believe my ears on this one. Sen. Reid has joined with Sen. Feingold in sponsoring a new bill to be introduced after Bush vetoes the current surrender bill passed by Congress. According to Fox, the bill will authorize US troops in Iraq and Afghanistan to fight only Al Qaeda. It will not authorize defending against any other enemy troops.
David Asman asked the obvious question: how do troops know who is shotting against them? The Dem spokesman deflected the question by replying that "it's just a bill at this time." Asman asked how the Dems plan to win in 2008 when it seems that moveon.org is now running the Democrat Party. The Repub analyst said that that's a good question.
This comes on top of Ms. Pelosi's begging Syria to stop being so mean and the news that the Dems are prohibiting any legislation to contain the phrase Global War on Terror. They believe it is the US that is the bad guy and that it is a law enforcement issue.
But they support the troops...
The challenge is to string this out until about March of 08. By that time, it will HAVE to be an election issue, no matter who wants to duck it. The Republicans will clearly be on the right side, the Dems clear traitors. This has the potential to completely unravel the Dems’ 2006 gains.
The troops should take Pelosi hostage and use her as a human shield during combat. Then see if she changes her mind on this subject.
Speaking of Pelosi being a hostage, do we think the Democrats would care if she were being held captive in Iran instead of the British sailors?

Whoever is running for any fed office on the (R) side should take a copy of this bill along on the campaign trail and shove it in their opponents’ collective faces everyday untill the election..........

I really thought this was satire. But if it isn’t, what is the appropriate response?
On one hand, we can pray the Dems keep this up because surely their insanit will be judged as such by voters in 08.
On the other hand, we can’t be sure, and perhaps it’s nearing time to take up arms.
Americans get what they elected - treason in high places. This should come as no surprise to us all. The liberal MSM has done a great job supporting and promoting our foreign enemies and our enemies within. The majority of the voting public bought this deception hook, line and sinker.
