As I mentioned before, the Russian Nuclear workers pulling out of the Bushehr nuclear site in Iran already clearly indicated they thought the site would be bombed pretty soon. Russian consulatants are reportedly also pulling out of many other places and returning to Russia.

Alan,
I looked up Ma'ariv but it's in Hebrew. I don't know anyone who can read Hebrew. If one of the readers of this your blog could translate a couple of paragraphs of the article I would be very grateful . 5:43 PM

Here's the translation from Ma'ariv:
Two weeks ago there were reports of two Iranian officers missing: Col. Amir Mahmad Shirazi and Brigadier General Mahmad Soultani, commander of the Revolutionary Guards Corps in the Gulf region. The official newspaper of the Corps accused Israel and the US of kidnapping the two and threatened to kidnap American and Israeli officers and to "throw them in the cockfighting arena".
"Iran is on the defense", stated yesterday Nicholas Burns, US Under Secretary for Political Affairs, who also mentioned that Russia's refusal to supply uranium for the Bushar nuclear reactor, as well as the tightening economic sanctions on Iran, proves that "international pressure is working".
It is worth mentioning that the Bush administration has decided to undermine the current Iranian government, and that the reports of mass desertions/defections (sorry, same word in Hebrew) of senior officers could be part of the psychological war waged against the ayatollah regime.
In addition, a German news agency reported, quoting Novosty (Russian news agency), that the US is poised to attack targets located in Iran in two weeks' time. This information is based on Russian military experts' analysis, who claim that Washington has already decided to launch the attack on Friday, April 6th, and that within ten hours different types of missiles (including cruising ones) will pound 20 nuclear facilities in Iran.
Also to be attacked are the central command of the Iranian army, Revolutionary Guards, and Iranian Navy bases, in order to prevent Iran from blocking the Straights of Hurmuz.
Well, they have just blown the surprise element, haven't they...

Looks like we rotated our storage in the nick of time. :-)
But, are the Dems going to ruin any and all under the surface, as well as ruining the things on the surface that we KNOW they are trying to ruin??
We know how much they love to go and visit the heads of state of our enemies....no telling what mischief they have caused.
It's also possible that the Iranians pulled the Britons onto their patrol boats before HMS Cornwall could fire. This looks like a well-executed kidnapping by Iran that took the Brits by surprise.
I still say never.

Thanks for those links in post 37.
So they launch the day before.
I don't see a problem. Iran gets a bellyful either way.
Political Science:
No one likes us-I don't know why
We may not be perfect, but heaven knows we try
But all around, even our old friends put us down
Let's drop the big one and see what happens
We give them money-but are they grateful?
No, they're spiteful and they're hateful
They don't respect us-so let's surprise them
We'll drop the big one and pulverize them
Asia's crowded and Europe's too old
Africa is far too hot
And Canada's too cold
And South America stole our name
Let's drop the big one
There'll be no one left to blame us
We'll save Australia
Don't wanna hurt no kangaroo
We'll build an All American amusement park there
They got surfin', too
Boom goes London and boom Paree
More room for you and more room for me
And every city the whole world round
Will just be another American town
Oh, how peaceful it will be
We'll set everybody free
You'll wear a Japanese kimono
And there'll be Italian shoes for me
They all hate us anyhow
So let's drop the big one now
Let's drop the big one now
Ooops, Post 36, RB
This looks like the right tool for the job.
Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP)
Direct Strike Hard Target Weapon / Big BLU
Boeing's Phantom Works is leading the effort to demonstrate the Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP). The three-phase technology demonstration builds on design studies that Boeing had conducted for the laboratory. Flight testing is envisaged around 2006. The 6 m [20 feet] long MOP features short-span wings and trellis-type tails. The 13,600 kg [30,000 lb] weapon contains a 2,700 kg [6,000 lb] explosive charge. MOP is designed to go deeper than any nuclear bunker buster and take out 25 percent of the underground and deeply buried targets. It is expected to penetrate as much as 60 meters [200 feet] through 5,000 psi reinforced concrete. It will burrow 8 meters into the ground through 10,000 psi reinforced concrete. Northrop Grumman is working on with Boeing to develop this conventional bunker buster. They are under contract to Air Force Research Laboratory's Munitions Directorate at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, and Defense Threat Reduction Agency.

I watch. 'Blast from the Past' just to hear that song. lol
yep, then we'll be left with only our goodfriends---the arabs....oh joy
Big Bertha shell could punch through what?- 75m [250ft]- of concrete. It was not easy then, and would not be easy now - one needs a supersonic striking speed, i.e. a terminal propulsion booster [doable] plus a good target hit. Good luck trying to hit with those an offset facility, where ventilation shafts, for example, could be 1000 ft to the side of it, and not directly above.
Friday, April 6th -- Good Friday 2007? While I do find that difficult to believe, it could befuddle the mullahcracy by making them think they're being attacked on the one day that a predominantly Christian country would not start a war, but then make them consider that we'd pick that day precisely because they'd not expect us to do it. And any future predicted dates would be looked askance at.
Not at all. There are so many dates and plans that the soon to be enemy might as well just hang loose and be ready for anything at any time. In fact, they might as well go about their business until then and not worry about a World Trade Center type of sneak attack since the West doesn't do things that way. The only question wouild be whether the strike would be limited to the nuke facilities or would go on to dismantle any and all kinds of modern weapons system they might have.
Nobody is going to attack Iran. There is no will left in the west to do anything of the sort.
