This is stupid. Keep the first in the nation in states that people can meet the candidates. Florida is only doing this to gain economically.

How long until some other state moves its primary to the first Tuesday in Jan...or to Jan.2 for that matter?

Laws recently passed in New Hampshire give the state's Secretary of State the authority to unilaterally set NH's primary date before that of any other state.Those laws also *require* the Secretary of State so to do.

So my guess is that NH's primary will still be the first in the nation...even if it happens this October.
