Sean Hannity Has Sold Out Conservatives For a Leftist Named Rudy
Wagglebee | 3/22/07 | Wagglebee

Tonight on Hannity's radio show he gave an entire hour to Rudy Giuliani. This is at least the third time in recent weeks that he has pandered to this pro-abortion, pro-illegal alien, gun-grabbing liberal.

In all of these segments on radio and TV, Hannity has never questioned Rudy's pathetic explanations for his liberalism. Hannity claims to be a conservative, but gets absolutely giddy over Rudy. I am beginning to wonder if Hannity's conservativism was just an act all along.

Now and then Hannity will have short segments with Newt, but he has been doing that for years (and Newt is not an announced candidate yet). Aside from this, Hannity has barely made mention of any of the other GOP candidates and certainly no admission that they are actually conservative. Hannity ended tonight's show with an excited promise to have Rudy the RINO back on soon.

I am just wondering if any other conservatives are fed up with Hannity.

Dear Sir,

You obviously did not get the memo. There are only 150 anti-Rudy threads allowed on FR evry hour.

Yours was #151.

Please be more careful next time.

And Rudy is NOT a LIBERAL no matter what the Rudyphobes keep whining about.

Mr. Giuliani's anti-gun actions as mayor were more severe than anything Ms. Clinton has done. I am unaware of Mr. Giuliani having done anything to recant such actions nor to atone for them. What rational basis is there for believing that he would be less anti-gun as President than he was as mayor?

Perhaps if Mr. Giuliani promised that he would, as President, push to prosecute the people who bought guns illegally for NYC, then I might grant him some credibility. But despite the recent court cases in DC and NJ, not all of the liquid in Hades has solidified.

For the phobes, calling Mr. Giuliani a liberal is just the same as whistling past the grave yard...they're just scared.

Oh worshiper of the idols of IQ!
Images of lonely housewives dance in your mind
And yet even in those opiated dreams

Not even one languid frau is yours ...
All are drawn to the man with the Boston Whaler!

Sean Hannity hasn't sold out anyone. He's a Republican Party hack, not an ideological conservative. He always has been. Sure, that means we make common cause with him a lot of the time and rejoice when he scores a good rhetorical point against the left. But he's loyal to the party, not the movement, so we shouldn't expect too much.

"The Rudyites seem to think that Rudy is the only one who wants to fight terrorism."

Must come as a shock to them to find that the rest of us want to as well :)

I'm equally disgusted and have been for some time with Hannity over this issue and going back to when he served as Arnold Schwartzenkennedy's pseudo-campaign manager.

In fact, I have called his hate Hannity hotline and fired off some emails to him. I encourage others to do the same. It's time Freep him and RINO Rudy.

If Hannity wants to be a shill for the Republican party, he deserves to lose listeners.

Katie...these "many, many conservatives" you mention are not conservatives at all. Conservatives will vote to keep the Clintons out of power at all costs.

Regarding the title: whatever else Rudy is, or might be, a leftist he is not.

A gun-grabber that panders to illegals, believes in mankind is causing global warming and that supports public-financing of abortion while marching in gay pride parades, isn't a liberal?

I heard the whole show. Sean has "Meet the Candidates" Mondays and Thursdays for an hour. Romney was on last time.

Sean asked Guiliani a series of routine questions, and callers got the last 1/2 hour to ask questions. Sean's first questions were about abortion, gay marriage, and the Second Amendment. Then he went to quick queries about items in the news - "What do you think of the fired attorneys controversy" and that sort of thing. Callers asked about Gore's global warming testimony, how to stop the partisan Dems, whether Rudy would take guns, several question on fighting the Democrats, fiscal policy, foreign policy. It was a standard appearance for talk radio, nothing particularly sycophantic about it.

After having heard it myself, I think your characterization is beyond ridiculous. It was actually fairly interesting and I plan to tune in to all of the candidate interviews. I don't listen to Sean regularly but this was a professional and informative interview, as I expect the future ones to be with Fred Thompson and Duncan Hunter.

Sean would probably drool all over himself if Stalin were alive, running as a Republican and on his show.

But, the question is, why can't Sean support a conservative and oppose a liberal like Rudy in the Republican nomination process?

Sean will give as much of his broadcast to Thompson when the time comes.

We'll see. My sense is that Hannity is struggling with the weak crop that's out there now, and waiting for a fresh face to jump on the list, with conservative credentials.

Beats me. Maybe Sean is starstruck with rudy. Maybe all he wants to see is the 9/11 rudy. I vaguely recall Sean pushing the conservative agenda and candidates before Nov 2006, so maybe he looked at the aftermath of the election and decided that the only way to put a R in the White House is to promote a rino. It's a great question that I hope he someday will answer.

I'd like to hear him asked "As President, would you seek to prosecute the individuals who illegally bought firearms for Mayor Bloomberg?"
