He probably just didn't have the cash until now, that's all.

Not paying parking tickets, doesn't sound very "clean" to me.

The poor suckers who live in Massachusetts are gonna have some fun with this elitist scumbag while he's in office. But they're gonna pay a high price for that fun because Coupe Deval has pretty much made it clear that he intends to tax the state's residents back to the stone age.

All the parking tickets and late fees were paid in full.”

After fifteen years, just as they could prove embarassing in an election. Just a coincidence. Yeah.

Before Barack Obama was a United States senator and a presidential hopeful, he was a Harvard University law student living in Somerville who parked in bus stops and accumulated hundreds of dollars in parking tickets. And for nearly two decades those parking tickets went unpaid, until a representative of Obama’s settled all his outstanding debts with Cambridge’s Traffic, Parking and Transportation Department Jan. 26.

From what I understood on today's Howie Carr radio show (WRKO, Boston), the "average" Massachusetts resident couldn't get away with this. If a Mass. resident has any outstanding parking tickets, they are not allowed to renew their license and/or car registration.

Please FReepmail me if you want on or off my ‘miscellaneous’ ping list.

He sounds rather cynical. Wouldn't have given two hoots about the tickets if not for his Presidential bid. Suddenly he's more virtuous than G-d.

Of course its minor, but it raises the issue of whether or not he has a John Kerry sort of "I'm above the rest of you" view of the world.

This story made it to http://www.hotair.com. Yes I was one of the people who emailed the story to tips@hotair.com.

"Honetly, this smacks of something he’d play up himself just to show how petty his personal transgressions have been. But six different people have sent us the link in the past 18 hours, so I relent. Here you go. Read all about it: Obama’s got a lead foot. No more e-mails!"

The Haaahvud student thinks he's too good to find a real parking spot. Why do I think his arrogance probably hasn't changed much?

Obama spokeswoman Jennifer Psaki said the presidential candidate’s parking violations were not relevant.

Sure they are. They show a 'screw you' attitude. Someone to whom the law doesn't apply.

“He didn’t owe that much and what he did owe, he paid,” Psaki said.

If it's not that much, just send me a check for the same amount. If I were that far behind in my neighborhood, I would have been arrested at my front door.

“Many people have parking tickets and late fees.”

Oh, the old, "Everyone's doing it" excuse. Try that on the IRS or the mortgage company or the local tax people. Watch them forclose on your house!

Not a good attitude to project to voters, unless they are Dems, I guess. They act the same way. One of my most liberal 'friends' always bragged about how she cheated on her taxes.
