Its not wrong what Im saying!
Gaius Seutonius---- who also wrote of meeting a jew named Aquilla comin from Italy with his wife Priscilla because Claudius had commanded that all jews leave Rome. These people were also mentioned in the bible. Not to mention the Bible its self is an absolutly credible historical book which was kept in writting for thousands of years, from the old testament to the new inwhich it is tied together in its entirety. This doesnt just happen, and yet we are keeping the very year 2,007 which is the recorded time since Christ and has been kept since Christ why would they do this for a supposed passing hoax, lets get real!! do you honestly question the historicity with a strait face!!!!
I dont say Cornelius Tacitus is one of the most accurate, Historians do!
Or should I say historical references? And the ardent angst only shows a stone in your shoe about something! The reason people want to disprove Christ is because they dont want to face sin and its consequences, but it isnt going to work like that! no amount of excuses are going to cover it up the excuse makers have been going on for thousands of years but the word of God is still with us speaking truth to this day and will be until that day comes. Every knee will bow and every toungue will confess!
Ive been a sinner also but I am forgiven in Christ which anyone can have this gift, its up to you!!!!
Your statement:
There is more historical writings of Christ than any other historical figure in all of history at the time of Christ or before. Thats pretty damming to your assumptions. More than Ceasar, Nero, etc... etc... (post #268)is wrong: All the historians you cite to prove it wrote more - and in greater detail - about Caesar, Nero, etc... etc...
Could you give a source which you put trust in?
In the middle-ages, only the testimonies of witnesses and the confessions of the defendant were accepted in court. Nowadays, we examine direct and indirect evidence.
The same is true for the historical sciences...
