"Maybe Rudy could do that; I think he took on some tough guys back in the day."

I sincerely and respectfully doubt it, Phil.
What we were allowed to see concerning ol' Rudy & his success running NYC v.s. what really happened during his tenure have two totally different answers, I suspect.

Remember ol' Bobby Kennedy's jihad against "organized crime"?
After Bobby's assassination he & his JD were declared the "winner", cleaned everything up making America once again a safe, clean, & godly place for us & our families.
~eh?

Heard less & less about "organized crime" over the past 30 years until finally we heard nothing, a'tall.
Curious, that.
Did the "bad guys" just go away, like the communists of the former Soviet Union?
HA!!

Used to think the Democrat party *absorbed* whatever if any & by definition, "organized crime" that existed in reality.

Truth is?
Wasn't a "Law Enforcement" crusade resulting in victory by the younger Kennedy & his JD, hardly.
It was a junta, a damned takeover.
Still believe that except for one change, too.

The Democrats had & have "partners", *share* their power & the booty derived therein, and always have.
Guess who's their "partner"? :o)

It's the only answer making any sense, whatsoever, explaining the many-many weird, seemingly unexplainable action(s) and/or events of our "leaders" over the past few decades.
Events which left most every single sane person doing the same thing.

...scratching their head.

You haven't made your point. We all know what Snow said. We SHOULD also know that he's saying whatever he's told to say. You're essentially shooting the messenger.

'Nuff said?

"You haven't made your point."

I didn't, huh.

"We all know what Snow said. We SHOULD also know that he's saying whatever he's told to say."

BINGO!!!

So what about this from #99 didn't you grasp, Miz?
"Snow is the voice of our president...Can't (TonyS) & won't say anything without it first being approved (by our president)...I'd like the answers to be from the right people (this administration even if via a "spokesman")...My president doesn't speak directly with/to me, he uses a "Press Secretary" ( >doink!<)...My question(s) are directed to the correct person... (TonyS)"

Seems someone's not making their point, alright.
Exactly "who" that is you & I will not agree, nor will you apparently see this is NOT about Tony Snow.
~sigh~

"You're essentially shooting the messenger."

To you I am, that's crystal clear.

"'Nuff said?"

HA!!

...have a nice day, kiddo. ;^)

They spread a lot of money around. Government officials can retire to consultancies and lobbying positions on their behalf.

Organized crime? It's on the ballot every two years.

"Tony did his Bill Clinton "put some ice on it" schtick."

That's sure what it sounded like, eh?

Y'know Phil, either this administration steps-up now, voluntarily addresses this atrocity to the American people, or, the quisling media will do it for 'em.
Just like the last time and the time before that ad infinitum.

Either they don't "get it" or simply don't give a damn is anyones guess.
Whatever's the matter, the ball's now in their court because if I know the Liberal-Socialist media -- & I most certainly do -- the quisling have smelt blood in the water.

At this very moment brainstorming's taking place with the explicit intent of providing a "reason" to explain the atrocity which'll play to their leftist advantage.
The modus operandi has been used so often there's no longer any question what they're tack will be.

They'll throw whaterinthehell they dream-up against the brick skulls of the American public, knowing damned well if it's *rich* enough it'll stick.

"Organized crime? It's on the ballot every two years."

Oh, I see.

...you already know. ;^)

you said..."Matt Damon's butt?"

No...just J-Lo's.

In my zeal to imagine that movie scene, and J-Los posterior...I left out those critical commas.

But feel free to take the movie in another direction ...

You can call it "Brokeback Broward"

Bush needs to fire Sutton and Gonzales. But of course he wont.

And don't expect him to cave to any amount of pressures from the Base. He is more interested in caving to the Globalist Lefties who got him to cashier Rumsfeld, Bolton and Ashcroft.

So long as Snow works for the President, he must represent what the President says and believes, NOT what Snow himself believes. Snow does not, and cannot, make the policy. He can only report on the policy. He can't get up there and say whatever he wants, only what the President wants. He's doing his job, nothing more or less.

Which was my point. If you have a beef, it is with the President, not Snow.

Yeah, I'm angry about how these agents are being treated. I'm angry with the WH about not stepping in and doing the right thing.

But it does no good to go after Tony Snow. None whatever. He is not the policy-maker.

Ashcroft.

My God, do I miss that man at Justice. What a great American. Alberto Gonzales isn't fit to wipe his ass.

"So long as Snow works for the President, he must represent what the President says and believes, NOT what Snow himself believes."

Amen.
Then in spite of my poor effort(s), we're really in complete agreement.

"Snow does not, and cannot, make the policy."

Thanks Miz, but don't you think I realize [that]?
I do.
This is a public BB, as such I speak "to" the person or persons quoted, it's rhetorical, not an indictment.

You can't KNOW how many times I'd wished our president had picked Snow as his spokesman from the very beginning.
Snow's smart, articulate and most importantly understands completely what he's up against dealing with the quisling mediots.

"He can only report on the policy. He can't get up there and say whatever he wants, only what the President wants."

YES!
Hallelujah!!

"He's doing his job, nothing more or less. Which was my point. If you have a beef, it is with the President, not Snow."

But Snow could take back to the POTUS my & others true feelings, given his job, right?
Well I pray he's reading these posts, then.

"Yeah, I'm angry about how these agents are being treated. I'm angry with the WH about not stepping in and doing the right thing. But it does no good to go after Tony Snow. None whatever. He is not the policy-maker."

Right on the money.
After all the years I've been around here, reading your thoughts, you usually are.

I mean that with the utmost of sincerity.

...Happy Valentines Day. :^)
