I just did some searching on marriages at sea. It was quite interesting and it may be that they were married "in fact". The Florida/Bahama area appear to have somewhat complex marriage rules.

This is one messy situation. It's hard to tell who is lying and what they're lying about.

I just hope someone gets that baby out of there before she too has a mysterious death. Ideally I hope the little girl knows very little about her "mother" and what she did for $$$$.
